The train was drifting
ОтветитьThe UK is a measurement monster
Ответитьsoon as you privatize a service, it goes to ****, same in my country, am a former rail worker and saw private sector do all sorts of harm to well run govt services.
ОтветитьI have a question, considering I just spoke with a friend in aviation who also works for the British. HOW ARE YOU PEOPLE ALIVE? The amount of negligence and hoping for the best is just astounding.
ОтветитьI think the tragedy is that whilst all the lessons of BR accidents were learned privatisation clearly allowed lower-tier employee HSE to be lax. It happens in all industries that are run by corporate CEOs. The bottom line, as it is called on the spreadsheet of accounts, is always considered, in a somewhat classist prejudicial manner, to be the first place to make cuts. A penny here and a pound there that they hope won't be noticed as the lower tier obviously takes up most of a company's spending as well as being geographically spread over a larger area allowing for the safety management to claim any accident as a statistical average. This is why lobbyists constantly pitch deregulation because bureaucracy is the profiteers' enemy.
Ответитьmy list:
nuclear nuisances > chemical catastrophes > other ordeals
but i watch any of your videos anyway :D
Superb.
But.
Please say Heartfordshire 👍👍
There was a period between 95 & 2010 where there were quite a few bad accidents
Ответить9pm in the evening?
ОтветитьAYYYY BIG UP MY ENDZZ
ОтветитьThat C151 Train picture
ОтветитьI realize that asking for you to cover another train crash may be a little...much. But, could you please cover the WMATA Red Line train crash from 2009? I haven't really seen a lot of people cover it. It was a catastrophic failure that's still felt to this day...
Ответитьsee kids this is why you don't do train bmx
ОтветитьWhen a train pulls a skateboard trick on the platform.
ОтветитьTrainly Difficult.
Ответитьand you brits always pick on Americans "why are you not metric yet!:" hello pot, this is kettle.
ОтветитьI genuinely fear an accident like this is bound to happen in the near future in Britain, because we have a government hell bent on cutting costs. Cutting costs ultimately means cutting corners, overworking staff, not properly maintaining the railway. Which will ultimately only lead to disaster.
ОтветитьWhen the ad break came on i actually got an ad
ОтветитьCanada also uses Imperametric!
ОтветитьHi mate. A great video except there is a spelling mistake on your bingo card. You have ‘Easly Preventable’ where it should read ‘Easily Preventable’. As you are clearly a stickler for the rules, I thought it best to inform you post haste after witnessing it.
ОтветитьA cameo by our Jago. What a lad.
ОтветитьWhat I find to be the most egregious element is that on finding no fault on the points, no one thought to check the other points ! With such a detailed RR report it seems obvious that there was something a miss somewhere there & the fact that the details as to which line could not be established it should have been imperative that all points were checked in that location.
Jarvis rail may have been the main cause of this tragic incident but railtrack were just as culpable in their failure of duty.
This was indeed a very dark age for the rail network in England & I hope we never see this happen again.
Hertfordshire is pronounced "Hartfordshire" lol
ОтветитьWhere can I get those disaster bingo cards?
ОтветитьThat “side note” absolutely killed me, bravo
ОтветитьLike many words it the English language, the pronunciation is not always based on the letters that appear. Hertfordshire is pronounced : "Heart Ford Sha" - "Hurt Ford Sha".
ОтветитьToday I learned what the striped box in the top right corner of your videos means. I have had premium for a long time and I've never known.
ОтветитьNo wing rails on your illustrations lol?
ОтветитьI can assure anyone listening that generally speaking in any industry in the UK, it IS Metric. To be anything else, let alone use chains, is VERY dangerous. So many accidents have been caused due to America's insistence on being a dinosaur (like refuelling aircraft in litres and not gallons) I am astonished that trains run at all. Mind you as the underground lot are on £65,000 a year I bet they start OK.
ОтветитьThe legendary multi track drifting
ОтветитьIt was terrifying for me as I was passing over those points daily at the time CBG - KGX. So many dead and injured because of incompetence and greed.
ОтветитьYeah, privatisation, comming to France's rail at the moment... we'll see how many lives it will cost in the next 20 years
ОтветитьSorry coud you cover the pioltello train disater in italy?
ОтветитьIts promounced 'heartfordshire' Even though its spelt hert x
ОтветитьI bet the owners & execs of Jarvis didn't do any jail time for the corporate murder of all those people.
ОтветитьWere Keanu and Sandra Bullock as Jack and Annie on board?
ОтветитьLove all your videos, can't help but leave a like! 🖤
ОтветитьWhile these videos are typically very well made, I don't know why I watch them, because they depress the eff out of me. It's always sad to see death and desttruction, but all the moreso when 1) it involves the use of technology of which I'm fond (I like trains), and 2) it's just so easily freaking avoidable.
ОтветитьStewiacke Canada via rail train crash April 12 2001
ОтветитьWhy can't the narrator, at least, say the word INCOMPETENCE?
Ответить...the stretcher bars ave fredded ends. He said so.
ОтветитьALL THE POINTS SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHECKED
