Best video on Charlotte that I've seen. Thank you! Moving here from Houston in a month or two.
ОтветитьI enjoyed this spotlight on Charlotte. I've never lived there; I'm born and raised two hours north of there, up here in the foothills, I'm an hour away from Boone. Charlotte seems to be getting so big, that they even consider here, being Hickory and surrounding areas, suburbs of Charlotte as well, or one day. I have always been fascinated by Charlotte, though I never go there.. it's interesting to hear from someone that's not from here.
Ответить2cents - the whitewater center, carowinds, and renaissance festival are 3 super big pluses in my book. Great places to go on the regular if you enjoy socializing with randos. Drivers are really timid out here. It's not bad, but driving slow is a thing here, haha. Also, the traffic lights are pretty terrible in some parts of town. I heard the city was in the process of upgrading traffic lights but I don't know if that's actually true.
ОтветитьReally great job with this video!
ОтветитьJcsu not Wssu lol
ОтветитьI’ll be 70 in two years and most concerned about health care systems. I’ll research this aspect of the city as prepare to leave the Midwest. Thanks for the content 😊
ОтветитьAs someone who has a 90% chance (between Charlotte or Raleigh) of moving there in the next couple month, this is helpful.
ОтветитьCharlotte is actually 2.5xs the size of Atlanta lol I always find it interesting when people say it’s not as big. 🤣
ОтветитьWhat kind of jobs in finance? Are there entry level jobs in finance
ОтветитьI’m moving to Charlotte in 18 days 😊 I will be staying in the wilmore neighborhood. Is it safe?
ОтветитьI've been here a year too and there are just somethings I really adore about Charlotte. I don't know why uptown doesn't have any shopping though - from Chicago and it's unheard of not to have retail stores downtown/uptown.
ОтветитьWatching this from the Buckeye State... Super helpful. Thank you!
ОтветитьLove this video! Planning to move there soon and I'm actually happy to know rent is reasonable (in my opinion lol) rent where I live is $2500-$3000 for a one bedroom! BUT YOU HAD ME AT BUGS IM SCARED NOW LOL
Ответитьhaha! If we can call downtown uptown, we can call roaches waterbugs.
ОтветитьThe city limits of Charlotte is way bigger than the city limits of Atlanta and it has more people than Atlanta, but the metro area of Atlanta is bigger than charlottes metro
ОтветитьI went to the University of Dayton and looking to move to Charlotte next year from Chicago.
ОтветитьAfter had lived in CLT for some years, this video is quite accurate! I actually miss it tbh!
ОтветитьHello I'm in Ohio, I would love the information.
Ответитьokay parents i need help if youre reading this. how is the schools in charlottte? what area should i avoid to raise children?
ОтветитьWelcome to Queen City
ОтветитьCharlotte is almost 3 times the size of Atlanta, size wise, yeah metro Atlanta has more population, but you can fit almost 3 atlantas in Charlotte. Atlanta 134 square miles, 312 square miles in Charlotte. Charlotte is HUGE, you NEED a car if you move here.
ОтветитьThank for sharing your point of view about your city in charlotte, north Caroline. I leave in NYC and intended to move to another City.
ОтветитьI love your content! I’m from Cleveland, Ohio and moving here with my boyfriend I can’t wait be there in October ❤
We Ohioans gotta stick together!
And because of these huge roaches , that is exactly why im leaving Charlotte. I cant take it anymore.
ОтветитьYou’re beautiful
ОтветитьYou just motivated me , hope I meet you down there sis ! Ending this traumatic ass cycle asap
ОтветитьThere is a dark vibe in Noda. I don't really f wit that area.
Ответитьmost the cons seem to be cons all cities have. so thats nice 😅 charlotte born and raised! :)
ОтветитьI moved here in early 90's in my late twenties, so I'm Aunty in these comments, but glad to see young black professionals moving to Charlotte. Keep coming guys! Plenty to offer here in Charlotte and I want to see the black community thrive here.
ОтветитьThe light rail ruined J w clay/ n, tryon/ ikea blvd .., more homeless/ pan handlers now
Ответитьim in the mid 30s, am im too old for Charlotte? lol, i work in tech so i think im good on that end. Wife and I are thinking about moving from NY... Charlotte seems a great city but how about to suburbs? is it true there're a lot of snakes? lol
ОтветитьI bust out laughin so bad whn that Nigerian accent jumped out 😂
ОтветитьSo interesting to watch this! I live in Charlotte and moved here from NYC in 2009. Charlotte is comfy, it feels safe, it's clean and offers a higher standard of living. But it is incredibly small. I'm always surprised to hear people call it a large city. And I don't mean in relation to NYC, as I understand that's a massive city. But Charlotte feels like it's 2 feet by 2 feet. You can literally see it all and do it all in less than a month. It gets super repetitive very fast. Eat, go to a brewery, repeat. Im grateful for the blessings I received here. But it's time to move on to more.
ОтветитьAs a native of Charlotte, transportation here is not great.
ОтветитьPeople here can drive in snow! People can drive on ice! Here temperature fails to stay at freezing so snow turns to water and freeze ls back to ice!
ОтветитьRandom watch from somewhere very far away. Enjoyed it
ОтветитьGood info
ОтветитьI need all the northeners coming down here to go back.
ОтветитьI moved here from Atlanta 6 months ago and Charlotte is expensive. I wasn’t expecting that. It is a more vibrant city for young professionals which is great but I’m 35 so I’ve struggled a little. Lol. Good assessment. Charlotte is unique for sure. And the people can not drive here at all !! I try to avoid driving as much as possible.
Ответить$1200 for a one bedroom in the south is ridiculous. There is nothing in Charlotte really. I can see Cali or Texas but Charlotte absolutely not!
ОтветитьWelcome been living here since 2015
ОтветитьPretty accurate, you summed up everything pretty well!
ОтветитьGreat observation. I relocated here August 2020 during the pandemic from Columbus, OH. It will be 3 years for me next month. It’s a great city and it’s growing. Lots of restaurants and things to do. I’m in Ballantyne in South Charlotte. However, I’m off to Tampa, FL next year. Those cockroaches, waterbugs, palmetto bugs or whatever are terrifying and I’m sure there will be no lack of them further south!
ОтветитьI have lived here for like, 10 years and could not name half of the neighborhoods you mentioned. Ugh I'm old. Good vid!
ОтветитьSo i almost went to Antioch in yellow springs Ohio, in early 2000's , im in my 40's still single is it worth it?
ОтветитьYou have no idea what you are talking about. I’m from Charlotte and still here in Southend.
ОтветитьLast summer I woke up and sat up in bed to use the bathroom. It was dark in my room but I did notice a dark spot on my thigh … it took my sleeping brain about 15 seconds to realize it was a freaking WATERBUG - I hit it off my leg and then could not find it!!!
ОтветитьAlso another pro: A lot of racial diversity (for example 35% Black as of the 2020 census IIRC)
ОтветитьVery welll done. Charlotte is my favorite major city to visit anywhere. My first gig w/my current job was in Charlotte, in the southern part of the city along the Tryon St corridor
ОтветитьHello dear
I would like to talk to you in a privet for important please , Do you have whatsap or what do you prefer of platforms
