ОтветитьThis was so helpful! Thank you!
ОтветитьIncrível!!! 👏👏👏👏
ОтветитьMy heart melts how beautiful Taylor and Tony's videos are ❤
ОтветитьAs an editor, I can say with confidence that I feel soft
ОтветитьCOME BACK!! <3
Ответитьthis was beautiful
ОтветитьI’ve been camera scanning for about 2 years now and it’s so cool to see other photographers workflow and how they use grow their tools.
ОтветитьI feel super weird most days.
Ответитьi think a sense music is an essential part of editing
Ответитьhi tony! youll never make a film. get an education and a career.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьAs a Mexican editor I can say I absolutely hated working with the pink assholes. I was the ONLY brown editor in my department at Warners and pretty much EVERY boutique house. It was a great job but shitty people. What do the teach you in film school to hate people of color and that’s how I felt.
ОтветитьThis was wonderful thank you!
ОтветитьEveryone asks when the editor will finish, but not how the editor feels 😢
ОтветитьVery nice edit! This video made me realise my main challenge in watching more 'serious' movies. I tend to focus on the plot and what's happening on a more logical level, rather than just surrender to what the scenes are making me feel. The comparison between the Star Wars and Antman scenes was a very good example.
ОтветитьSomething needs to be said about your humility. So many filmmakers put the camera on them and talk and talk and talk about the new cable they just bought. You don't. And saying that you've been editing for 10 years and that you're "still not there" is very refreshing. We need fewer narcissists and more... editors?
ОтветитьGreat vid mate! Yes, editing is not about Avid vs Resolve and whatever fascinating workflow you espouse, it’s about FEEL. 33 year veteran editor here. Note for non-editors: never tell an editor how to edit, tell the editor how you want the viewer to feel.
ОтветитьI have Walter Murch's book In The Blink of An Eye. In it he outlines a list of reasons to cut and what to sacrifice in order to decide your cut. The first thing you can change is 3-D space of action. The most important to retain is the emotion of the scene. There are six items on the list and I try to abide by them. It helped my editing a great deal.
ОтветитьYeah, Ant Man is trash
ОтветитьYou have to feel when to..
Brilliant.
Wow I never took editing seriously at the Oscars. Now it will be a category I look forward to seeing. Can’t believe I hadn’t seen this video sooner.
ОтветитьQuestion is: 🤔🤔 When editing a music video - how do you keep your cuts away from being on beat (as it's very inviting)- and create a separate pacing/ rhythm of cuts that's not on beat, yet, still feels good with the music?
ОтветитьThere are few people that can teach you about editing as well, or as quickly. This could easily be the basis for a series on one of the streaming services. It enables film viewers to discover new ways to appreciate and understand film.
Ответитьthank you!
ОтветитьI feel like for the Star Wars and Ant man part, the time of the shots fit with the character’s personality.
ОтветитьWhy did this channel dry up? Did the author fall ill or expire? Based on the quality of the existing content, it's hard to imagine he ran out of things to say or new ideas about things already said. I hate unsolved mysteries. So unsatisfying. So tell me, he or she that knows. Wazzup?
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьI enjoyed every single second of this video, each detail is impeccable ¡Thank you!
ОтветитьThumbnail?
ОтветитьI always wondered how exactly an editor knows when to cut, and this explains a lot. Thank you for this.
ОтветитьJust subbed for future viewing. Haven't watched a single video yet.
Ответитьwhen to what?
Ответить:)
ОтветитьI learned so much from this video. I've been watching movies since I can remember, and I never thought about how emotion is conveyed by the cuts. It's like a whole new way to pick up on the purpose of a scene
Ответить4 seconds? Sometimes a single frame makes a difference to the tone of a cut.
ОтветитьThank you Sir
Ответитьguys help what is a hollywood edit plea se
ОтветитьQue brutalidad, he visto 2 videos de este canal y ya aprendi mas que en mi escuela de cine
ОтветитьIt's 2023 and this channel is still the GOAT. Miss y'all, Taylor + Tony. Hope you're doing well!
ОтветитьHow are you Tony? Just checking on you man..
ОтветитьYou have to feel when to..... goosebumps
ОтветитьWhy haven't you posted in last 6 years? Pls make more videos, I happen to come across this video just today and loved it
ОтветитьScott wasn't really trying and I think his frame number shows that very well
ОтветитьWhat’s the name of the last film ?
ОтветитьDoes anyone else feel like he misses the “when… to… [cut]” moment? Is it just me? He should have held it a little longer, IMO 😅
