FAVOURITE OFFSITE RESTAURANTS IN ORLANDO | Near Disneyworld

Im a vegan and im going next march so i am worried about the food

I'm a strict vegetarian and have always found food in the states but I'm not at all fussy which helps! I loved seeing this to get even more ideas. What are grits? Xx

There are definitely some awful IHOP’S but I agree they have some good choices if you pick a good one!!!

Haven’t been to Orlando in ages but I loved Perkins. Also loved Bennigans but I don’t think it’s there anymore.

A lot for us first-timers to take in - but I think we're going to struggle more with the language (gritts, biscuits, chips, gravy etc 😁).

We love Bahama Breeze, it’s such a change from the regular burger and fries menu. Last time we went was about 4 years ago but I don’t see many vloggers visit it, I hope it’s still running.

I love the omelettes in IHOP.
Have you tried the Longhorn Steakhouse, it’s our favourite Steakhouse.
The Cheesecake Factory is always a must for us.

Perkins is always a safe bet and pretty good, it used to be our go to for a treat breakfast, but we also go to KeKe's quite a bit when we are out there. The French Toast and stuffed French Toast is very good. We go to the one on the 27 and then carry on to Lakeridge Winery which is also fun with their wine tastings, quite light and sweet wines so perfect for the natural heat in Florida.

Bahama Breeze has been really hit and miss the few times we have been, so it has fallen off of our list of places to go. Also won't go back to Olive Garden as the last time we went the food was so over salted and bland.
Texas Roadhouse is one of our staples as great value and never had a bad meal there.
Bonefish Grill is good as well and very tasty.

Fast food wise, Shakeshack is one of our treats even though I work quite close to the two in London, it just feels more special on holiday. Chick-Fil-A is changed our view of fast food chicken and pretty much the only one we use (the sauce is very nice and the nuggets taste like actual chicken).
Not been to Taco Bell in Florida and I keep my eye out for Taco places as I really enjoy them.

Another vote for Bahama breeze -- but we haven't done many outside disney! I remember going to this place called Pebbles, (I think) outside Disney over 20 years ago. It was amazing - but unfortunately it closed :(.

Nine of us currently in Orlando and just started the second week of our holiday. We've had mixture of breakfasts, iHop and Denny's being our faves so far. Visited Texas Roadhouse twice for dinner so far due to your previous recommendation, 16oz Sirloin was amazing, cheers.

Grits are a southern staple at breakfast! They’re boring plain, there’s a couple of different ways to eat them: put sugar in, put butter in, add cheese, or shrimp and grits at brunch! 😊

Hello from California! You guys are lovely. I really enjoyed the unplanned video. Some of the places you recommended made me 😬 (ihop, denny’s, Olive Garden (always bad or slow service ) as I haven’t been to these places in years. But I get it, if it’s only place opened early in the morning and if you have fond memories, then the taste of the food is secondary. Lisa, I hope you’ll get to try Taco Bell. That is what I grew up on, so it has a special place in my heart. It seems that you come to Florida, California, US quite often. If you are in California, I recommend Tito’s Taco in Culver City. It’s not too far from LAX. And I agree with your opinion on Outback. It used to be great (I loved the blooming onion), but the food has gone down, so it’s been years since we’ve gone back. If you ever come to The Disneyland Resort, I can recommend a local Italian restaurant. I can’t think if the name right now. Thanks for sharing from your heart and experience 😊🥰

We love Taco Bell in the States, first time we went we didn't know what to order for the 6 of us so we ended up choosing something from each option with a variety of fillings- only came to $40 with drinks and could have fed us twice over!!

Listening to you both talk about restaurants, you could be talking about our holiday! CiCi's is our daughter's fave and she's 28! They have all closed down now though, the pandemic finished them off. Grits = Polycell wallpaper paste! X

Fun little fact- restaurants in the U.S. actually make the portions bigger on purpose. Studies have shown that people are more likely to eat more and buy more when given a bigger plate. It also allows them to charge a bit more. Basically whenever you go to sit down restaurants like Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse, and Cheesecake Factory, it is common practice (and a good idea) to eat your appetizer and 1/3 - 1/2 of your main dish, and take the rest home. Feeds you for 2 days and you don't end up feeling sick.

Oh, and you were right the first time on your pronunciation of Chick-Fil-A. The A does say its name.

We had a great steak for my birthday at Capital at Pointe Orlando. I have problems being allergic to tomatoes as they always stick them in your plate despite not saying on the menu. Our first place to go when we arrive is The Town Tavern at Celebration but recently our best dinner out was at Seasons 52 and of course Cheesecake Factory. We have been to Perkins as it’s so near our villa and it’s reminds me of school dinners or something you would get in an old peoples home.

Love the way Seasons 52 and Big Fire (universal) and Cheesecake Factory does Brussels sprouts. Always said we would try Cracker Barrel but never get around to it.

On our last visit at Cheesecake Factory we had a variety of small plates to share plus their bread which I love and didn’t overeat for once. I love fudge at Kilwins in Celebration

I live in the States--I haven't been to Bob Evans nor Perkins in a while but always loved their pancakes. Never had lunch or supper at either place--always breakfasts. Cracker Barrel's Chicken 'n Dumplings is my favorite along with their carrots and potato casserole--yummy. Also love their French Toast. When I eat grits I eat them with butter, sugar and creamer--kind of like I eat oatmeal. A true Southener will not put butter, sugar and creamer on it (I live in the midwest).

Absolutely agree with you about IHOP, we also go there often after a late park night. We also love Cracker Barrel, good value, and I love the quirky shop.

Great choice in the tavern at Celebration , love there breakfast and being a pizza lover , always go to Cicis , amazing value and some of the best pizzas iv had , my fav has to be the spinach one and the macaroni cheese pizza , as i dont eat meat , like your daughter and the bavarian dessert pizza ! we do have such fond memories of Ponderosa .

Absolutely Longhorn Steakhouse every visit 2 or 3 times over the fortnight. I’m not a steak person but these melt in your mouth, and their Strawberry chicken salad … O M G !!!

Which Texas Roadhouse do you use please? I can’t find one with any decent reviews.
