I wish I had seen mikes philosophy 30 years ago! Just found him last year and this ectomorph is finally putting on muscle!
ОтветитьA lot of what is said here in not correct.
ОтветитьArnold overtrained. Nobody needs 5 hours a day. Quit knocking Mike mentzer. He's not here anymore to defend himself.
ОтветитьScrew your freedom Arnold
ОтветитьDid this guy even do any research before posting this shit 😂
ОтветитьWhy don't these 4 guys talk shit about another bodybuilder that had unconventional training methods with very short rest periods? That would be Vince Gironda. They were all probably scared to continue Vince and tell him he was wrong
ОтветитьMike Mentzer was ahead of his time. He went against the grain. They hated anyone who would preach workout hard and short every 4-7 days. That doesn't sell supplements Near as fast, nor is a gym membership quite as important. Mentzer was right and told the truth, and they hate him for it
ОтветитьIn the end Mentzer’s philosophy has had greater longevity
ОтветитьPlease look into what Mike Mentzer was actually preaching. It was more than just high intens workouts. Also big on recovery time. And what foods to eat as well. He was a genius
ОтветитьBoyer Coe claimed that Mike Mentzer's training methods gave him an "unfair advantage " --- in a competition where everyone used anabolic steroids. That's a knee-slapper. 😆
ОтветитьNot mentioned of course would have been there pharmaceutical philosophies.
ОтветитьThis video is a fraud ….
ОтветитьSeriously how many times you are gonna repeat the same thing just to make the video longer??? Wtf same thing 5 times on repeat.
ОтветитьMentzer was the Nikola Tesla of bodybuilding.. he tried to give us knowledge
ОтветитьVery Wrong 😮
ОтветитьThis just highlights that any form of training, ANY, as long as you do it and do it consistently, works. Oh ya, and AAS's/PED's. An absolute must. The idea that your trainign style will dictate your physique is hilarious. Gear is 95% of the equation.
ОтветитьYou just repeat same shit for all the bobybuilders on the list
Ответить🤨So much misinformation in this video. Mentzer was the alpha male. He stood up to Arnold. He wasn't an A$$ KISSER.
ОтветитьMentzer was a fraud because he did volume training. He was just doing business
ОтветитьThis video is spreading misinformation about mike.
ОтветитьInteresting. Because his method works for me pretty damn well. Plus Arnies one to talk about someone being a fraud.
ОтветитьMike was way ahead of the rest mentally. I think they found it intimidating 🤷♂️
ОтветитьThis video is wrong on so many points.
ОтветитьMentzer was not aggressive, he defended others against Arnold. Arnold was and still is a massive narcissist. Mentzer was always seeking to better himself not just physically but mentally
ОтветитьThis is a hate post against Mentzer. Who sponsored this page and video smh
ОтветитьThis is ghey
ОтветитьArnold was a bit of a flog
ОтветитьWhat a load of un factual garbage not even worth commenting or going into details 😂
ОтветитьSeems quite petty. Listen to your body. 🎉
ОтветитьFunny roid monsters saying mentzer had an unfair advantage.
ОтветитьOk we get it they didn't like his high intensity training methods 🙄
ОтветитьWho died soon is fruad simple 😅
ОтветитьWhat is this a hit piece 😂
Ответитьmike was a genius, 1 set to failure and the magic begins
ОтветитьHahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh....was mentzer the only jew aaawwww no
ОтветитьSince "Screw your freedom" Arnold is a little bitch, I have to side with Mike on this one.
ОтветитьMike was right that’s why they hated him
ОтветитьErm okay.....I heard from Platz himself that he trained with Arnold and regressed.....then applied Mentzers training and got better.....this seems to be a video promoted by Arnold
ОтветитьArnold was a two faced back stabbing manipulator. He was a chickenshitfuckinpussyasshole.
ОтветитьSchwarzenegger was actually very hostile and critical. Very arrogant so I never really liked him. Boyer Coe, Ferrigno, and Mentzer were nicer, more respectful people who attacked Arnold mostly in self-defense in reaction to Arnold’s comments and habit of belittling his competitors

ОтветитьThis channel sucks hard
Ответить5 people who didn't like Mike = 5 well known douchebags in the bodybuilding scene.
ОтветитьThis video is ridiculously flawed. What a waste of time...
ОтветитьI remember reading Flex magazine and copying what the pros claimed to be the best way to train. I remember reading Mike Mentzer's column in a competing magazine and thinking he was wrong, because his way of training was in opposition to nearly every other pro's opinion in magazines. It took a long time of wasted training techniques to realise Mike Mentzer was correct. When beginners asked Mike for advice, he didn't tell them to do five sets of three exercises (for a total of fifteen sets), like many of the other pros recommended. Mike gave sensible advice, keeping the sets down and doing just one or two exercises per muscle group.
I learned the hard way, from listening to the advice of pro bodybuilders (who were on steroids) with their ridiculous advice that ultimately lead to over-training, that their techniques didn't work.
Having since become certified as a PT, myself (among other related certifications) I can attest that keeping gym time short, but intense is better than dragging out exercises for hours on end. Contrary to old-school beliefs, very slow reps don't build muscle. Heavy, controlled, exercises, with short breaks between each set, work best. Training for size doesn't involve doing endless sets of the same exercises. We only need to sufficiently warm-up the muscles via a warm-up set or two and then one effective set (growth set) with the heaviest weight for the day. Then you're done.
As one sensible pro said: Don't make the gym into a second home. -Get in, get the job done and get out.
Funny how mentzer was apparently addicted to crystal meth, had a bitter attitude and didn’t live long where as Arnie, zane and platz are still relevant today and very likeable and inspiring, on video at least.
ОтветитьI think ChatGPT created this video.
ОтветитьActually Tom Platz followed a similar ethos to Mike with training. Video is a fraud.
ОтветитьMentzer is all about recovery so idk what this video is talking about.
