TP-Link M7350 v4 Mobile personal wifi - unbox and review

Heads Up! In this video I am testing V4 of the M7350 which come with wifi at 2.4Ghz @ 150Mbps and 5Ghz @ 433Mbps, whereas the M7350 V5 currently on sale only comes with a single 2.4Ghz band @ 300Mbps. This is understandably caused me and some others a bit of confusion, especially as TP-Link appear to have removed this feature on the newer version, you can verify this yourself by downloading the spec sheets from TP-Links website. May not be a big deal to you, but if it is important then this is something to look out for! AM

does this boost the wifi signal or will it be exactly the same as an old mobile phone as a hotspot?

Interesting review. The disadvantage of using an old mobile phone as a wifi access point is that it's a hotspot. When you lose the connection with the hotspot it will stay connected to the internet from your phone and not re-connect to the hotspot. This is what I experienced last year on holiday with our camper.

Do you really need a sim card to use the WiFi on the Mifi router?

Got a question, which carriers(sim cards) is this device compatible with?
Will it accept SaskTel prepaid SIM cards?
Also during online gaming, if I were to use this device would it prevent connection timeouts?

Sim card in my phone i get over 100mbps in this i get 40 mbps, is there a reason for this ?

I have been using this for over 4 years.
It support only FDD networks but not TDD networks: generally all mobile sims are supported by this device

I think that SD card slot would be really handy, but only if they'd made it a standard size SD, I just bought one of these to use on the boat while in the Norfolk Broads, and being able to share photos from our camera's SD card to various devices to be able to then easily post one or two photos while away from our home PC's would have been a cool feature.

I can't get mine to work at all. it shows 0 on the front despite vodaphone unlimited data card. Doesn't show network name either. I've installed the card according to your video and the instructions.
