A Halo Series Retrospective

Great video and appreciate the work that went into it.

However, calling the Locke vs Chief fight's choreography "great" is crazy. Not only does it lack any kind of proper martial arts application (something a super soldier would definitely be using), the moves used are utterly nonsensical. It's unironically one of the worst "serious" fighting choreographies I have ever seen.

Part 2 MIGHT have been loved if it wasnt one of a thousand examples of shows and video games and movies going woke.
Truthfully the odds of meeting two lesbians and a trans kid, just statistically, is hilarous, not even including the apocalypse.
Its also laughably unrealustic to have a kid worrying about their sexuality, before puberty, when her family and friends are being slaughtered by the infected and shot by the WLF.
Its just too coincidental that the lgbtq stuff in this game had nothing to do with current social issues/politics.
People can handle the odd game, show, or movie having, even staring, a gay character. Its when its ANOTHER one, and especially in a ZOMBIE game about revenge, we dont need a bisexual/lesbian/straight guy pregnant love triangle. 😂

For the last Scarab fight in Halo 3 where you fight two of them, if you wait up on the hill you come in on before jumping down I'm pretty sure they drop off a Hornet or two for you to use. It makes the fight a lot easier, and frankly I always did it that way since the game launched so I'm pretty sure it's the intended method lol

Also, fun fact about Noble 6 and "the UNSC having another demon in their ranks", you're not far off. Noble 6 and Master Chief were the only soldiers within the UNSC to earn the title "Hyper Lethal", making them the deadliest soldiers to ever exist within the military. I believe he had earned that title before the events of Reach, so it wasn't due to his last stand (which they would have no way of confirming anyways).

I was a very big Halo lore nerd up until Halo 4 where I stopped caring about the story for... maybe obvious reasons. But yeah, Bungie cared a lot about the story and lore which I think was pretty unique for back then.

one thing that makes the tartarus fight even more confusing, you can't actually damage the shield, you can only damage him when the shield is down, which happens after johnson shoots him enough

Great video, I’m 33 and I have loved halo for a long long time. I haven’t played halo 5 or infinite yet I do plan on trying it but when I think of halo I think of the original games up to reach. I like halo 4 but the older games are just great

Forerunners were human beings, that was the amazing plot twist of the original trilogy, that the Covenant was trying to kill the same creatures they worshipped as gods.

Then 343i ruined that part or the lore, making the Forerunners some generic aliens.

Man the halo music is probably hands down some of the best music to bless a game ever.

To point out the intro, I am glad there is someone else that had a similar experinece to me when it comes to Halo. Also born in 2000 and did not get into it until 2018. Yet, I find it to be amazing and it is one of my favorite franchises in gaming.
