is this cannon ? the problem is you get a name arthur fleck. to date i dont think they ever gave jokers name. its a movie so normally what ever but dc doesnt make money and im sure that warner can essentially make cannon now days just like disney can just say what ever and its true for marvel stuff

Ben Affleck is Batman of this universe i am sure wb have planned to put em together in another movies but since all new dc movie flopped and James creating new DC universe so maybe WB scrapped the original idea and now they are giving us joker 2 which is standalone movie not connected with dcu because the 1st part was hit so maybe they thought let's get another one

I'm not sure, but the way Alfred looks shocked when he realizes Arthur is Penny's smirk, then smirks and says "There's nothing to know." makes me think there may be some sort of cover-up by Thomas Wayne.
