This is how it is:
Once Jesus rose from the grave he abolished the Old law under Moses!
He was the fulfillment of the law! The whole Old Testament made numerous predictions and prophecies about the Christ which was to come and was to save the world from their sins through the shedding of his blood!
You see neither Jerusalem Israel Judah Samaria or Galilee is Holy! When Jesus rose from the grave his spirit left the temple and tore the curtain between the holy place and the most Holy place in two!
This symbolize the tearing away of the Old law in order to usher in the new! Even though the temple lasted for 68 or 9 more years, God's spirit no longer inhabited the ark of the covenant or any part of the temple for he had departed permanently!
Because God said that he would give his salvation to the Gentiles as well as the Jews, there was no longer any purpose in the animal sacrifices!
All scriptural Christians are not only saints and kings but priests in the kingdom of God! We no longer have to have a priest to pray on our behalf because we can pray directly to God!
Although the Jews claim that the Temple mount is where the temple stood that is incorrect!
If you'll recall when Paul was being threatened with being stoned when he was in the temple in a tumult ensued this centurions came down the stairs to rescue Paul! Therefore the temple was below the Roman legions headquarters which is where it stood on the Temple mount!
Remember that it is said in the Bible that where the temple stood will be plowed like a field! Well for centuries it was plowed like a field and maybe he still is to this day!
Also Jesus says there will not be one stone left standing! If this is the case why are there massive stones beneath the Temple mount that we're not dismantled and thrown down like the actual Temple was! Only the Romans had the intelligence the technology and the tools to tear the entire Temple down even to its foundations!
