Just tried that machine in welding class and absolutely loved the feel of it. Mind you I started with the millers but for some reason I wasn’t very convinced with miller. Great machines but Lincoln did it for me .
ОтветитьStill see them online sometimes, got one yr or so ago, came with an aluminum gun also, was $600 i believe shipped. Also has a switch to change from gas to innersheild. (Polarity)
ОтветитьI’d appreciate it if you had gone over what settings and gas flow you started with.
Ответитьdont know what im doing wrong its not feeding it
ОтветитьThe shop I went to has the welder for $927
ОтветитьBatteries are flammable, move them before welding.
ОтветитьWould this mig be good for autobody sheet metal ? Im a total beginner and wanted to learn and do some welding on sheet metal on my truck. Any info would be much appreciated!
ОтветитьHave a 175 PLUS I bought years ago 220 Lincoln
ОтветитьRandom question?! I am looking into buying this for my husband as a father’s day gift, he works in auto body and collision do you highly recommend this welder as a gift ?
ОтветитьJust picked up one of these today with the cart, cover, consumables and 2 spools of wire for $275. Bought it for mainly just automotive body work.
ОтветитьYou did a very detailed tutorial mate thank you I’m looking for a hobby mig welder if it can weld 5-6 mm mild steel that’s all I need jimmy Australia
ОтветитьGlad I found your video about the Lincoln 140. I was leaning towards the Hobart welder, before seeing your video. Much appreciated.
New subscriber as well, figured you'd have more interesting videos. Plus after reading some of your subscriber's, don't see where I could go wrong. In case you already did a video on the Miller 220. What is your opinion on it? The 120/220 multi function, Mig, Tig, and stick? Thanks again for your help
Mine is 24 years old and still in use
ОтветитьHobart is (Black&Decker) Miller (DeWalt) and there is NO better name in the industry than Miller. Lincoln is a solid, what I leaned on and is a primary and simple machine, unbeatable value.
ОтветитьI just bought a used Lincoln 140. It came with the box that said it was shipped 14 years ago but doesn't look like it was used more than twice or three times. It came with a Lincoln stand, 2 helmets, goggles, 2 wire brushes, chipping hammer, 2 new pairs of Lincoln welding gloves, a bag of tips and rollers and 2 spools of wire. Also included was an extra stinger and ground cable and clamp that are new along with 2 new regulators. Bought this for $700 Canadian.
ОтветитьThanks for making this video Mark, I have a Lincoln 100 and am considering getting this 140 to get a little more power and a newer machine
ОтветитьI’d use smaller wire like a .30
Ответить👍👍👍👍👍👍🙋♂️
Ответитьis hobart an off brand of miller
ОтветитьI have the same machine. Thank you for the information. Excellent video.
ОтветитьGreat video. I just won one from an AG Mech show. I’ve been using Lincoln and Miller MIGs for years but never this model so you did a great job answering the questions I had
Ответитьsound. WISDOM
ОтветитьCan you weld with gas or without?
ОтветитьIf you use 030 wire which way, would you place that drive roller since it has 035 on one side and 025 on the other side is there another drive roller that I should have? I just bought this welder used and 030 come on it. I know nothing about welding but wanting to learn.
ОтветитьBest grounding tip: lock on to your piece with vice grips then attach your ground clamp to them. The aggressive teeth of the grips cut through paint. You will also avoid ground clamp arks.
ОтветитьHi. Great video! I just bought a Lincoln Electric U2688-3 SP-140T MIG Welder but it is currently in transit. What is the difference between your machine and mine?
ОтветитьSince when is flux core welding NOT mig welding?
ОтветитьLove this machine I have spent a lot of hrs using this. Made quite a bit of money with it. I've had mine for around 3 years never had to fix it yet knock on wood. Only pieces I changed were consumables. If you are wanting to get into welding this is the machine to learn on.
ОтветитьGreat video sir and I have a question, I'm a beginner self taught welder and my welding isn't the prettiest but it's getting there. What machine would you recommend for someone like me that wants to weld mini bike frames and also 1/4" metal from time to time and things around the home? Thank you for your video and I gave it a gigantic thumbs up. 👍
ОтветитьTO MUCH TALKING ??????????
ОтветитьI’m setting up my machine right now can I plug it up at my house without replacing anything?
ОтветитьHow long can I continuously weld with this machine?
ОтветитьHi thank you i have this welder. What are your setting at. Heat. Wire feed speed ? Im new i have a RV gate hinge to fix 👍
ОтветитьThanks for your video
ОтветитьYou bought it at harbor freight?
ОтветитьHey I'm just wondering I'm 17 and I'm in the automotive program in my high school but they don't teach me how to weld and I want to learn. do you think this is a good first walder
ОтветитьHola , amigo tengo una duda , está soldadora es obsoleta?? Será mejor comprar un inversor?????
ОтветитьHave the 120, found the 140 today brand new for 400 at the local oawn shop, ticked to death
ОтветитьI just purchased this same machine. Haven’t even unboxed it yet. Looking foreword to doing a few small projects I have lined up for it.
ОтветитьJust make sure you don’t weld your beer on it to
Ответить🇺🇸👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьThat's a transformer machine, that's why is so heavy. The Forney 140 MP falls in the same category, is multiprocess MIG/TIG/stick and cost around $400 free shipping. I does not comes with the regulator or flow meter but a decent one is not expensive. Forney is as old as Lincoln and Miller. Update: I replaced my Lincoln 210MP with another Lincoln, a 215 MPi.
