10.25:1 compression with no ecu and a draw-through system where the turbo is compressing an air fuel mix aka a bomb😂

The engine in the olds jetfire and its tooling were sold to Rover. So that rover v8 from back in the day was an oldsmobile engine

I feel like after all the work Saab did for turbo cars, you could've given them a little more credit, after all the 99 Turbo was the first compact family car with a turbo that isn't meant to make tons of hp but make the car faster and more usable in daily life. Saab also invented the APC controller which was also a very big factor in turbo engines...

This is fantastic, but you tell me I can turbo anything, but then say that it's a bad idea with a carby... I want to turbo my 1980 Fairlane... I get that it's probably not the greatest idea but working on the assumtion that I'm going to do it anyway, would you have any suggestions on the best ways to go about this questionable endeavour?

2.5 turbo producing 110Hp wtf?
A modern 1.6 non-turbo is more powerful 😂
It's crazy how much better modern engines are!
More power, more reliability, better fuel economy and much much clearer

A turbocharger was called a turbo-supercharger, because that's what a turbo is: a turbine powered supercharger. See Hugh Macinnes 1978. The bible.

it's quite hard to realitize it but a new direct injection system which could also work at higher rpm and with gasline instead of diesel would be really cool

Every Man Alive in America born before 1990 knows or has heard about the International Scout, It's one of the most Sought After Historic 4x4's in America - It wasn't the most Popular, but it was a Well Known Truck because it had a Unique Look and was Built by International Tractor

Brilliant, once again. Great to hear the history of these things as the 'Turbo' has got so much mystique.
Although there were failures along the way, it is only by experimenting that we learn and are able to achieve the desired result.

he undermine the Saab 99 and all Saab cars which is more notable than the 911 or the 2002 as introduced the wastage and the APC. two systems that are part of all new turbo applications to control boost, nock and make it reliable and usable. Later on with the trionic the most advance ignition system of all time

Thanks for the awesome video, I really enjoyed it! There is more potential for electrically-assisted turbos. Current-gen F1 cars already demonstrate that turbo lag is virtually non-existent and the inertia of the turbo shaft can generate electricity for later use, replacing wastegates as the turbine speed is kept below the turbo threshold. With modern technology, this means that we can have almost perfect boost control depending on engine rpm and load, as well as throttle pedal inputs. Can't wait to implement that tech in a possible future build: a RWD Hyundai Getz powered by a quad-turbo, mid-mounted Viper V10 with a Nissan Exroid CVT. Let's see, I'm still a teen... 🤞

Bro I dropped out of college: electrical engineering just to pursue tuning. I started with programming and diagnostics so I can make some money to fund myself and you are blessing me with this education. Please continue this series brother you are a real motivation to keep learning this stuff. Although you didn’t touch on it, your videos got me very interested in the whole ideology behind this which is called mechatronics (which I plan to go back to school for; maybe ecu in Australia because they have dual degree for motor sports) for those who don’t know. Keep inspiring man much love from New York

Has anyone ever considered having a turbo shaft setup like on a inline four or six that bolts straight onto the exhaust manifold, so you have a small turbo connected on a shaft for every exhaust port, may have better heat distribution rather than concentration? Also if you have like a butterfly type shaft spindle it may deliver a more uniform boost more compatible with engine without lag?

Ответить
@waitpu4817
@waitpu4817 - 01.07.2023 10:06

I think the best turbo setup would be a turbo that feeds power directly into the crank via direct gear as your going to have to gear reduce maybe with a torque converter with computer controlled electric powered forced induction.
