In the way day...I had only four moves. But...like Herman Munster...We did them VERY well. Plus...I worked on my free throws. I was shooting 85%. They hammered me. But I made them pay. Remember 3 to make 2. Yup...old...old timey. Never made it out of college. Tall...but only 230 pounds. Great times. Great memories.
ОтветитьHakeem Olajuwon and Kevin Mc Hale are the 2 greatest post up players I've ever seen.
ОтветитьThis is a great study. I played C/PF in high school even though I’m only 6’4”. It’s been a great foundation for my “old man game” since I’m now 37. One thing I noticed is that Kevin had NO left hand. My left hand is also under developed so it’s good to know I can still be beastly
Ответитьyou know he's going to fake, shift to the other side, and scoop or hook... yet still gets thru the defender everytime 😂
ОтветитьNow all we see is 3 pt shooting bigs/forwards. Kinda miss that grit and action in the low post brah
ОтветитьMcHale finished 4th in MVP voting in 87 behind Magic, Jordan and Bird think about that
26.1ppg, 9.9rbs, 2.6ast, 0.5stl, 2.2blks, 60.4%-Fg, 65.5-Ts%
he is the greatest low post player in the history of the game. I so wish some of the young big men would learn to get in the post and have a true low post game like McHale. The low post game imo is the most wonderful thing in basketball and if you can make your shots you are almost a guaranteed bucket regardless of your size or athletic ability.
Ответитьunderrated
ОтветитьThe best ever in the post. What made McHale's up-and-under/stepthrough nearly impossible to stop was that he also had a great fadeaway over his right shoulder and an unstoppable jump hook going left. If you stood your ground, he just shot over you; if you went for the shot, he'd counter. He's still the only player in NBA history to make 60% FG, 80% FT, and average at least 20 in a season.
ОтветитьThe man of a million moves
ОтветитьHe had Jordan moves before Jordan had Jordan moves.
Ответить87 MVP race Top 5
Magic
Jordan
Bird
McHale
Wilkins
Low post & foot-work master. Pre-Hakeem "DreamShake" Olajuwon.
ОтветитьDudes for one move, fake up and under 😂
ОтветитьOnly joker has footwork like this
ОтветитьI am sorry.. James Worthy is top 50 players of all time...but Kevin Mchale is better than James...much better
ОтветитьKenneth Lofton is the new McHale
ОтветитьThere’s too much traveling allowed in the NBA nowadays, all in the name of entertainment.
ОтветитьSome cool angles here
ОтветитьThis was Kevin love before Kevin love just no three but had the post ups and playmaking on point
Ответитьhe was the nba test dummy for allowing traveling and steps
Ответитьwelcome to the torrture chamber
ОтветитьKevin McHale up and under post move was so effective. He had long arms as well; he was able to get his shot off over defenders. His footwork was impressive as well
ОтветитьLoved watching McHale’s post moves- pivoting and faking the defenders out before scoring.
ОтветитьThe patented up and under
ОтветитьIncredible moves, 6-foot-10, 8-foot wingspan and teammates who were excellent passers. Nightmare matchup.
ОтветитьKevin McHale got away with a travel virtually every time he got the ball in the paint.
ОтветитьI hate it for 4s. These are center moves they are expected to defend. 😅
ОтветитьIf we're talking about post game, olajuwon and mchale are the greatest for me.
ОтветитьHis finish skill is the best I've ever seen..
ОтветитьNot much wasted motion
ОтветитьHe used to go to WORK!!!!
ОтветитьThat half spin to finger roll is pretty cool.
ОтветитьBallet dancer
ОтветитьIf you looked at Mchale's low post moves, he had about 12 different variations..my favorite were the 12 ft fall away from either side of the basket either direction left or right.. rarely if ever missed..there were times McHale was nearly unstoppable
ОтветитьImagine having that guy as your second or third option. Crazy skill.
ОтветитьBest post players in their prime: McHale, Olajuwon, Zach Randolph and Jokic.
ОтветитьSame darn up and under move. You would think the defense would know it was coming, but he fooled ‘em every time.
ОтветитьCheers Kevin!
ОтветитьKevin = Mikhail Baryshnikov on the dance floor!
ОтветитьTough mf, didn't back down from anyone
ОтветитьDon't know if it's less impressive or even more impressive, but he never finishes with his left.
ОтветитьThe Torture Chamber 👀😵💪
ОтветитьPerhaps not as flashy as the dunkers, but this guy sure could point points on the board!
ОтветитьCOOKING
ОтветитьThere’s a reason why Dominique Wilkins called him “The Man with a Thousand Moves”
ОтветитьNo one, and I mean no one, could guard McHale on the block. I don’t care who you were, you needed help.
ОтветитьKevin McHale - the Klay Thompson of post up big men
