Bill’s a pussy
ОтветитьBill: I'm your huckleberry.
ОтветитьA reenactment of course
ОтветитьRuthless! 😂
ОтветитьHilarious cuz upon first viewing of this movie I thought the same thing then I realized he was talking to someone
ОтветитьBill the Butcher: Gets mad at Amsterdam for trying to kill him "like a sneak-thief...instead of fighting like a man!"
Also Bill the Butcher: Kills McGinn when his back is turned.
You cannot communicate with wild beasts
Ответитьhe didn't break the fourth wall. he was speaking to the company in Walter's shop
ОтветитьHe’s not breaking fourth wall here. You clearly see people in the barber shop.
ОтветитьAbe Lincoln was a menace
ОтветитьAt least Bill the Butcher knew how many notches he had. “Why don’t you burn him and see if his ashes turn green.”🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьThis is absolutely sickening, turns his back on Bill
Ответитьthere you are nudge 45 You Irish ************, wierd thing to hear right before your death 😂😂😂
ОтветитьThat’s when you realized he feared the change that was coming he knew he had nothing else to lose so killing monk was just one of those things he had to do to desperately stop the change that was about to happen in 5 points. He did say fear was leading him. Fear is what made him survive up until that point
ОтветитьI've tried his mutton, it's undercooked.
ОтветитьThis ultimately shows that Bill is a coward. He spouts nonsense about "ancient laws of combat" and "fighting like a man", but when he knows he can't beat someone fair, he'll happily pull a cheap shot.
ОтветитьNever turn your back on anyone
ОтветитьTotally didn’t realize til I saw the caption of this, but he definitely does look right at the audience and say that shit lol damn it. He really is a cartoony ass character.
ОтветитьInteresting choice of shot here
ОтветитьThere is no 4th wall broken in this scene at all.
ОтветитьNever turn your back on an armed man.
ОтветитьBy far the greatest actor of his generation. Just a shame we never got to see more of him
ОтветитьI think Bill attacked Monk from behind out of fear. Monk had earned a pretty fearsome reputation.
Bill might have beaten him in a straight up fight, but he didn’t want to risk it. He also probably assumed he wouldn’t walk away uninjured. That, plus the fact he wasn’t dressed to fight, suggests he was going to stab him in the back no matter what.
Rule #1: Never turn your back to Bill the Butcher.
Rule #2: If you broke Rule #1, then you’re already dead.
Beautiful scene 😂 ❤
ОтветитьBill was a broken man by this point in the movie. He was no longer relevant, no longer truly feared as he was earlier on in his life. And he understood he was no longer relevant and belonged to the old world and not the new one
ОтветитьBeing totally committed to his craft and character, Daniel Day Lewis actually murdered fellow actor Brendan Gleeson in this scene. Amazing. Perhaps the greatest actor of our era.
ОтветитьThere is a scary gangster lesson here:
If you are going to sink an axe into someone’s back (when the other person feels safe) it’s not cowardly just as long as:
1) Quip saying “that my friends in the minority vote”
2) Use your victims weapon to finish them off and make sure to show them before it comes.
3) Coldly quip again “why don’t you burn him. See if his ashes turned green.” Tip your hat.
DDL does so the well I would be nervous to be around him off the set. After all the guy did have a reputation for staying in role off camera. Don’t think I would be asking him to chop wood for my fireplace any time soon.
He didn't break the 4th wall. He was talking to the people in the barbershop. Have you seen the movie?
ОтветитьNever underestimate the cheapest of moves out of your enemy.
ОтветитьMob violence is democracy
ОтветитьBill is my favorite character in the movie.
ОтветитьThe best auror the ministry has come on😢😢
ОтветитьHe's clearly speaking to the people in the barber shop, this isn't a fourth wall break.
ОтветитьIn the directors cut the general hits Tom cruise in the back of the head with a shellalegh and marks a notch into the handle.
ОтветитьI hated Day Lewis in this.
ОтветитьAll things aside, the man literally stood over him as he is dying and his forever last memories will be Bill making the 45th notch letting him know that it will go down as the final notch representing not Bill but his own self. Now that’s cold.
ОтветитьPoor movie. Poor casting. Poor directing. Poor script.
Ответить“Why don’t you burn him see if his ashes turn green “…classic
ОтветитьI always felt like Monk was afraid of Bill from how that scene went down. Monk of all people should have known ain't no reasoning with Bill and should have known to NEVER turn your back on a shifty, murderous Bastard like the Butcher. What was he thinking?
ОтветитьHe couldn't have taken Monk in a fair fight.
ОтветитьEveryone likes to think this means something. It doesn't.
ОтветитьThis is what Donald Trump is going to do to Joe Biden in 2024. Just watch. Mark my words.
ОтветитьYou need to look up what "breaking the forth wall" actually means.
ОтветитьNor breaking fourth wall talking to people in the building
ОтветитьMan that glass sure was brittle. He barely touched it and shattered into a million pieces
Ответитьyou know you got some power when you just knife, then club someone to death in broad daylight with dozens of witnesses
ОтветитьHe loses all respect for the backstab - classic coward play.
ОтветитьIt's not called "the minority vote"... it's called: never turn your back on your enemy 👍🏼 Daniel Day-Lewis is a god. Great acting sir
