A new CRV EX-L AWD is $38k $40k with tax Tag and title and it only has a 1.5liter engine which is. Crazy!!!!
The outback’s are cool but I see them everywhere. The CX -50 actually looks attractive and has turbo power with AWD The one I am looking at has 5k miles for $35k.

I have a cx-3 and love it. Confused on the touchscreen complaints. I love the fact that you can’t use while driving. You should not be fiddling with the screen while driving 🤷🏻‍♀️ honestly they should remove the option of even using the knob thing while driving in my opinion. Use the steering wheel options.

I just sold my 2020 Dodge Challenger ScatPack with 485Hp for $45,000 with Carvana,$9000 more then I paid for it at $36,000 3 years ago...Felt I like the Mazda for a fully loaded CX-30 at $29,000 with taxes and all fees($500 rebate off of Msrp}I am happy with the car owning it for 3 months and 900 miles.I don't need all the Hp that the Challenger had but the Cx-30 can get to 85mph not as fast as a challenger but fast enough. There is more Truck room then the challenger and as for inside space,I feel its a nice ride for 2 people since I will never need the second row seating. And as every car dealer going to 3 Cycinders, the Mazda gives you the same 4 cylinder thats been proven.

Test drove one on a whim and ended up taking it home. I'm a believer now. These cars, the CX-30 are made for people like me who do a lot of driving and can do it in comfort and safety.

An interesting note: Mazda dropped two levels in the Consumer Reports Reliability rankings from 2 to 4. Still in the top 5, but it is interesting that BMW is now ahead of them!

We don't want electric vehicles! We don't want hybrid vehicles! They just enrich democrat elites and waste precious minerals! The batteries don't last for the life of the car- 10 years or more is needed! We don't want small turbos! They fail frequently and cost too much to replace or repair! We don't want small car AWD! The transmission & transfer case maintenance is too frequent and they fail too early and are expensive to replace or repair! We don't want advanced electronics! They are too expensive and cost too much when they fail! We don't want electronic keys! That makes the vehicle too easy to steal!

Just stopped in again for a second time. Right away I can see a major problem with Mazda. It is that they have way too many models to choose from. I would get so confused, that I would just leave, as I couldn't comprehend all the different models. Great report.

I own a CX-5 but I won't buy it again. The infotainment system is a joke without a touchscreen. Note to Mazda...look around, it's the 21st Century...EVERYTHING has a touchscreen. The interfaces are designed for touch. Touch is safer than using a controller dial and a series of nested menus and selections. Sheesh. Other than that the car is great...sporty, dependable, nice styling, good build quality...well, except for the brakes. Just trying to get by spinning my controller dial through the Apple car play app menus.

Mazda has turned buyers like me away and has been doing so for years. I was all about their "Zoom Zoom". I would love to own a Miata, but I like in crappy Illinois. Our roads suck and our gas prices suck even harder. It's winter for five months of the year and road construction / destruction season for the other six. I would look at a Mazda 3, if there was a manual transmission, but I'm not convinced that it is still the fine, fun to drive car of a decade ago. I wept when they got rid of the manual Mazda 6. There's just nothing remotely interesting in the Mazda stable for me. I haven't owned a Toyota since 2000, a Nissan since 2010, and I've never personally owned a Honda. Now, Volkswagen is also pushing me away. I'll just stick to the used market.

Frankly, I don't think hybrids make sense for any moderate to small sized car companies. It is a huge investment in car / electric / battery research and technology. Then they have to train their technicians and mechanics to service them and all the computerized systems. It might draw some niche customers, but I think it's a losing proposition with Toyota and Honda already owning the lion's share of those people. If Mazda has an Identity crisis, it's because they've been following in Toyota's footsteps for the past several years. They've killed their car line up and focused on SUVs, just like Toyota. If it weren't for Subaru and BMW, Toyota would only have a "sporty" Corolla, and no sports cars at all in the US. They had a sporty Yaris... I think, some time ago. It was interesting, but nothing practical or would set the automotive world on fire. if Mazda doesn't want to spend money on advertising, that might be a good plan, if they push their luxury offerings up market and keep their quality and reliability high. Eventually, word of mouth will get the news out, but that's a big "if".

Loyal Toyota-ite
BUT looking heavily at Mazda....I am tired of Toyota being snarky with MSRP markups these days and being frumpy on designs.
Mazda 3 Hatch under 30k is a great deal
CX - 30 is for people who work on the go, cargo/storage with zippy acceleration, probably not for growing families though.
I feel the CX-5 is boxy but a great touring type SUV.

I owned and enjoyed 3 Mazdas in the 1980s including the original Rotary. I am interested in trading my BMW for a new Mazda except for a major problem, the local dealers have closed. I live in Los Angeles and three dealerships no longer exist. It is too hard to buy and service Mazdas to invest in one now.

They aren’t selling because they are absolutely hideous. The 30 and 50 with those huge plastic fenders around the tires is horrible. Also they are simply wanna be BMW’s. People that are interested in Mazda have had their eyes moved to Kia/Hyundai and their offerings. Those are the same type of clientele.

Just for them to be successful enough.

See the biggest different here is you have to look at the matkets they sell in because overall volume and market share tell one story but understanding the markets they perform in best or worse tells another story, like here in Australia Mazda have become one of the most popular car brands although not hitting away with all the fully digital dash displays, they are fully equipped with everything you need and they are built on pure quality to last. but post pandemic they have become even more popular because you are looking at 12-18 months for certain toyota models and with a Rav 4 likely over 2-3 years and almost every other brand you are looking at 6-8 months average, but even if you ordered a mazda you could have it within 1-3 months or if you by stock dealerships have even better. like i just bought my Mazda CX-30 and they had just gotten a massive shipment of like 100 vehicles at the dealership i went to including 23 of the cx30 and 5 of which were the one i wanted and so i didnt hesitate and i went for it. so different markets have different waiting periods so mazda being so widely available and reliable is a huge benefit with the only competition being Chinese brands like GWM,MG etc who are on par with stock and waiting times.

We like our 2016 CX-5 6speed MT. BUT, it will be our last Mazda. MPG, ground clearance and cargo are all less than the competitors. It's been 7 years and I see 0 improvement in MPG. In fact, since new models are only AWD, MPG has decreased. We average 36MPG in our CX-5. A newer model may hit 32 mpg - if you are lucky and keep speed down. Ground clearance is down to 7.5" from 8.5" and cargo volume is down from 2016. Why would I downgrade?

I’m a Mazda CX5 owner and I’ve been very happy with the car. Performance is great, interior is a great value for the money. The 6 speed automatic is a huge benefit over the crappy CVT’s in Hondas and Toyotas. Cargo volume is not the best but it’s plenty of room for a single driver and passengers. There’s not enough room here for families with little kids who need car seats. The exterior styling is gorgeous. I had a Honda before this and hated it. Will never buy a Honda again. My choice was between a RAV4 and CX5 and the Mazda was the clear winner in value.

The reason people aren't buying Mazda is that they are very expensive. Then when you add in the fact that Mazda financing is atrocious and always has been, good looking at spending considerably more for an equivalent vehicle if you take out a loan. If you pay cash, the price difference is minimal. If you take a loan, then you're going to end up paying significantly more for a Mazda

mazda are boring in my opinion which is why they sell less. they dont have the flashy tech. the mazda 3 screen needs to be way bigger, moved forward, and made a touch screen. Yeah the interior of these cars are more premium but its boring. they remind me of Lexus interior, premium but boring/old. Also no hybrids
