ОтветитьSo which Slavic language is it sung in and in which slavic country did it originate in the 18th century and which slavic country is it understood by reasonable people (slavic or not) that it comes from. Thereby making it an old UKRAINIAN cossack song!!!!!

ОтветитьThis song speaks clearly about the Spirit of Russian fighters. These people will never surrender and will fight to death. Death is more honorable than surrender!

ОтветитьWow. I've bee watching this video and enjoying this song for many years now. I've introduced many freinds to it and they have thoroughly enjoyed it. But now that there are English subtitles, I can understand this song so much better. I had no idea it was about a soldier bidding farewell to his woman before he goes off to war. It carries a similar theme to Farewell of Slavianka. Thanks for putting in the work to translate this most catchy of the Cossak songs.
ОтветитьLanguage is Ukrainian, Cossack
ОтветитьDo you know the source of the audio ? Which concert or record is it from ?
