This music video plus the TV and Internet ads related to it, helped to convince quite a few of my friends and high school classmates to enlist in the Utah National Guard before and after we graduated in 2006.
I tried to enlist, but was denied because I was deemed 4F in the Selective Service System due to several disabilities and an extensive medical history since birth.

I'm torn on this video. I saw this in an ad growing up and enlisted at 17. Worst decision of my life. 8 years of my life I won't get back.

I remember hearing this song the first time in a movie theatre back in 2008 and I became a fan ever since. Amazing writing, and a salute to all those who put their lives on the line for their brothers in arms, and complete strangers. God bless the veterans who give/gave themselves for something better.
