This feels like the feywild video, where he tries to make it seem like there’s more than one way to look at a moral picture. But the pleasantries in that video were evil and Mercedes isn’t. There is such a thing as objective morality. Especially in a setting with gods.

Want your cleric to not be squishy? Then I have a tip for you! The first time I played a cleric I was a tortle. I had 48 health (at level 3) and a base AC of 17. However, if I was wearing a shield that bumped it up to 19, AND tortles get the ability to withdraw into their shells, which would bump my AC up to 23. For the entire campaign, I NEVER had to roll any death saving throws. Perks of being a 7ft tall turtle man.

Here is how ideals are divine in nature, it is actually very simple, in DND gods are sustained by belief in them (right? I mean... I think) so if people believe in the ideal then presumably that gives rise to some sort of divine being.

Controversial for sure, but I dont require Clerics to memorize their spells. Although they are limited to the number of spell slots they have available for their level, they have the ability to call upon their Deity to aid in the situation at hand. Exceptions are opposing planes or areas where a strong “spiritual” presence is at hand. Then they have to “store” (memorize) their specific spells which are then focused through their holy symbol.

I go life cleric for fun. Once you hit lv 6 you are basically the strongest man in the party.

Wow. Im am about to start a 1on1 with my girlfriend with her character as a rouge and my sidekick as a war cleric. Actually my idea was pretty similar to Mercedes.

He is a follower of Tempus. And as they want to give every war a meaning, the orders leadership tries to infiltrate the biggest armies around the sword coast and destroy all the smaller skirmishgroups. Their vision is to be leader of every bigger army to unite under one banner, so the meaning of war is given and controlled. He is lawful evil :)
