What people seldom realize is that the historical two-handed sword, called usually the Zweihänder, was used within the tight battle formations to actually fight against mutliple enemies and to break lines of pikes.
Which is why Guts has the exact right weapon to fight against numbers. :D

This scene is not talked about enough. There's a point where you really start questioning your actions and why you're doing them. I liked working in kitchens but it got to a point where I'm sitting here cooking 5+ tops back to back to back, sweaty, thirsty, tired, wondering how my little sister's birthday is going. Unable to answer her texts because I can't stop cooking. And I know I have to go right back the next day. I love cooking but damn I don't love it THAT much. So I left.

I was a bit underwhelmed with the Samson fight. Samson only used one attack, and didn't even raise his shield against Guts. When I first saw Samson I figured Guts would have to impale him through the sight hole in his helmet.
