God resin printing sucks so much. I just got my first resin printer, and already I want to get rid of it. Reading about how goddamn toxic resin is everywhere, I've gotten too paranoid to enter the same room as the printer. Which sucks because it's my workshop. I wasted a ton of money building an enclosure and a venting system, and I still don't feel safe.
Ответитьawesome tipps. safety always first. always! dont be lazy. dont get into routines :) thx for your advises.
Ответитьso much common sense in this video! well done
ОтветитьOmg. I will not buy these printers. What a nightmare
ОтветитьWow! water soluble resin is so much easier.
ОтветитьI learned never to touch my printer with gloves. I only handle the printer with clean hands free of resin. The build plate is removed by grabbing the top part that never gets into the resin and I move it out of the machine right away onto a working surface with disposable paper. I 100% make sure the knob on the build plate never comes in contact with resin.
ОтветитьExcellent!
ОтветитьWow you are a godsend. I just recently got a MS5 for my first printer and have been more than a little clueless with it. The way you break things down into simple, easy to follow steps is perfect, and somehting I think a lot of others who are making content on resin printing could take a page from. Cheers!
ОтветитьVery good and informative video you've made. One more thing, what's the name of the music you use in your intro? It's great.
ОтветитьDo you think for an 8 year old dealing with resin is too dangerous?
Ответитьcan you clarify filtering issues around pouring the resin back into the bottle? Is it helpful to keep one bottle with only 'fresh' ie unused resin and use a second bottle for the filtered resin?
ОтветитьThis man has more safety precautions than the Wuhan lab.
ОтветитьThanks for this video! As someone who is about to start printing with resin, I find this safety guidelines very informative. I'll do my best to apply all of them
ОтветитьGot my printer.. i am gonna hold on to print before all the safety stuff ready. Your video helps clarify all the stuff needed.
ОтветитьThe old adage "the juice isn't worth the squeeze" comes to mind when I watch this video.
ОтветитьReally good video! Wish I had seen this sooner.
ОтветитьHaving a separate tub of metho for the build plate is definitely something I will do. 👍
ОтветитьI am just starting out. Excellent tips! Thanks.
ОтветитьCall me crazy but I barely smell the resin and it's hard to remember that it's toxic. It's way less smelly than the acrylic monomer I do nails with, and the IPA itself.
My biggest lesson learned is do not cure resin in the tank "for easier cleanup" --I went back and commented on the video that told me this was a good idea. I ruined my original resin tank and FEP this way because it still required scraping the cured resin off the surfaces, many of which are curved. I've since been pouring off most but not all of the resin and then putting the tank in a sealed plastic container in a dark cabinet for next time. I almost always use grey resin but I can imagine having a container for each color tank would be convenient too.
Great video, new to Resin printing, but this info is still very relevant and helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьThis guy reminds me so much of that talentless hack Rich Evans, but this guy is talented and competent.
Ответитьthis video is a fantastic how to, literally everything you need to know. thank you so much for this
ОтветитьHow often do you need to clean the Fep/vat? Every print?
ОтветитьGreat video and tips!! Thank you!
ОтветитьJeeze $15 for 3 now its like $30 fo 1 💀
ОтветитьLiked and saved
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Resin printing ca be such a mess! As a beginner, I believe I'll go for FDM.
Ответитьare you leaving in resin between prints?? dont that smell alot?
ОтветитьWouw I'm new in resin printing.. After 3 years with fdm printing now it's time for resin.. I bough Anycubic mono x6k and your tips are amazing thank you very much.. Do you have any ney tips?
ОтветитьGet a chemical/tattoo "wash bottle" for rinsing your prints. The higher pressure alcphol stream is way more effective than the fine mist from a spray bottle for cleaning un-cured resin from prints, and they cost about the same price.
ОтветитьThank you for this. Three years later this video is still helping newbies like me. I just purchased what will likely be the first of a few Resin printers. Currently buying lots of other things to go along with it and you have made me realize some things I was not considering.
ОтветитьThis was so helpful. Thank you!!!
Ответитьoh this is great, thank you !
ОтветитьYour video was easily one of the best intro guides. I was trying to watch a bunch of videos and was getting lost on what I needed to do. This was a perfect combination of important information. Really appreciate the break down at the end too.
ОтветитьFabulous guide!! Gives me the confidence to try the world of resin printing again!
ОтветитьGood info thanks 👍
ОтветитьExcellent content, thank you ! It is well worth going in details through each step !
ОтветитьThis is one if not the best video out there on how to handle the post processing of resin prints. It really helped me get started after years of FDM printing and moving onto to SLA. Great work!
ОтветитьAmazing tips! Thank You!
ОтветитьThanks for the awesome guide. This was my quick reference Bible for getting started with resin 3d printing, and it couldn't have been easier or more fun.
ОтветитьHow often i need clean the build plate? Thanks great video
ОтветитьThis video is extremely helpful thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьHi, thank you for so valuable tips. Now my question: what can I do if I already contaminated my desk surface and the printer’s screen and cover? Also, I am very worried about the consequences if my kids or wife touch them. What could happen?
ОтветитьLooks at msds safety sheet for UV resin (brand of choice), rolls eyes on bro-logic safety reqs in comments.
Minimize exposure longer term and ventilate room; keep away from pregnant women.
Always reference a MSDS, not the weirdos on interwebs donning full ppe for 5 seconds of exposure over 1 day.
This video is pure gold!
ОтветитьWow ! Hongkong T-shirt
ОтветитьThis guides are great for new people wanting to enter this world, you have help me a lot, come back😢
ОтветитьSo basically, being on the spectrum really helps for resin prining😁
ОтветитьVery informative. New subsciber!
ОтветитьI know this video is 2 years old, but I had a question. You mention that your cleaner of choice for resin is IPA. Have you had any experience using denatured ethanol? I've been seeing both of these used depending on the vide and the channel. I'm planning on getting a resin printer next month to start producing minis for D&D. So, I'm trying to do my research before I even get to the point of purchasing a printer.
