ОтветитьWoo Hoo Thank you James and of course Thank You Kate!
ОтветитьThanks James and Kate.
ОтветитьLove that James brings NY art to Florida, I appreciate all the work you do James
ОтветитьDANNY SPECK!!!
ОтветитьThank you, Kate! ❤❤❤
ОтветитьThank you, Kate. ditto James Kalm
ОтветитьI don’t get what’s so interesting about art made by nutters.
I can only think it has something to do with a bourgeois appropriation of things ‘outside’ their self satisfied little worlds.
The art itself is boring insomuch that it never develops. It is like McDonald’s… you get exactly the same unsatisfying nothing burger every time you think you are going to get something nutritious…. Which is the definition of insanity… maybe that’s the clue… the Bourgeoisie want to have their moment of insanity in a safe hygienic space.
Anyone know the name of the guy playing electronic music at the start?
ОтветитьCan we maybe all chip in for a gimbal - I love the content, but I´m seasick after about three minutes.
ОтветитьA treat for those of us who can no longer afford to travel. Many thanks!
Ответитьa real treat ! thanks Kate & James 🎨🙏🏼🖼✏👌🏼💝🎨
ОтветитьI am a Colombian artist and I am a fan of this type of art and from a distance I can know what is going on in the art world. thank you for recording these events!
ОтветитьI always love seeing this each year! Thank you James and Kate!
ОтветитьI see in NY you can sell your paintings on the street. In France (and Paris) it's not allowed unless you have a permit and pay taxes on items sold. I hope the street artist sells a few! 😊
ОтветитьThis is also a favorite exhibit of mine. Such obsession and invention! Love it! I've been to Creative Growth in Oakland and their artists are exceptional. Keep up the good work James. Thanks to Kate for the editing and upload.
ОтветитьI always wondered what outsider art really is, and now I know, thanks
ОтветитьGreat stuff, James! ....and thank you, Kate :)
ОтветитьI really appreciated your thoughts on the subject of Kitsch. Ive been digging into it myself for years, and ive realised it is harder and harder to define the more I learn about it. I recommend the book "Ugly, the aesthetics of everything". It has some really good insights. Kitsch seems to be one of the more important elements of "art" in general and yet it seems to be rarely if ever mentioned. Koons, Currin and Yuskavage, just to name a few, are all deeply exploring the spaces of Kitsch in their practices.
Ответить'Well, I'm outside.' 🤣🤣🤣
Ответить❤thank you ❤
Ответитьfinally ...good NY buskers !! ............thank you james & Kate
Ответитьinspiring! gotta save my pennies and get to NY
ОтветитьThis has become perhaps my favorite annual NYC art show, and I'm sure I'm not alone. It's such a refuge of surprises, innocence, and art that isn't quite so hell-bent on professionalism. Melvin Way, Melvin Milky Way - I love it! He is a real star of this genre. Great to see you getting such a warm reception by the gallerists too! Thank you James, and Kate.
ОтветитьInteresting indeed, but I’m getting motion sickness:/
ОтветитьThank you Kate! ❤
ОтветитьI live in NYC, went to this fair and loved it so much I still watched this video!
ОтветитьBench. The origin for future Pollack s
ОтветитьSome really great art on show there .. many thanks !!
ОтветитьDont like the term outsider
Ответитьwow you knew all the beats
ОтветитьAs they say, art is in the eye of the beholder…
Ответитьyou lost your mojo on this one brother, especially wasting so much time with that last nonsense segment. and i really believe you realize you blew it. good luck next time.
