Angela van den Bogerd just reeks of dishonesty and lies. The look on her face tells me that she was then hoping it was all going get swept under the PO carpet. She and Vennels should be prosecuted.

There's one thing I don't understand. Did real money disappear? Were Fujitsu or Post Office employees going into sub postmasters accounts so they could funnel real money out and then pass the blame on to them? Or did they make up income and then accuse them of taking money which didn't even exist? I'm not an accountant but I'd like to think that if someone says 'Right, today's income in this post office was £5,000 and you only have £3,000 in your till', then there have to be a series of transactions that add up to those 5K, backed up by receipts. And if you can't find those transactions then you can't really prove those losses are real. Also, if this was just buggy software, were there any accounts that ended up showing false profits instead of false losses? Basically was this dishonesty, or incompetence and a cover up from Fujitsu and the Post Office? I am starting to wonder, based on the number of cases, the fact that it was always missing money instead of unexplained earnings, the determination to try to cover up, and how the federation representative was stitched up after he visited Fujitsu and saw their staff accessing live accounts, if this was a criminal enterprise and not just incompetence.

As with the Hillsborough cover up - there are elements of rich establishment and huge corporations who deem themselves untouchable based solely on their position, power, and wealth. And as with the Hillsborough disaster, the end result - after countless trials, hearings, and rulings, will be the same - no one in a senior position will be punished beyond a slap on the hand.

Well, you failed miserably love and tried to cover up your failures by breaking the law and destroying innocent people's lives. Your assets should be seized as proceeds of crime and you should face a hefty prison sentence. If this had happened in the USA you'd already be in jail pending trial.
