I believe sleep deprivation might only be bad when you don't sleep at all for extended periods. If you take even five or ten minutes naps , the harm is less detrimental.
ОтветитьI live on the streets and I'm used to sleeping with one eye open, luckily I have a good doggo to help delegate the roles of keeping an eye out for our saftey
ОтветитьIt is possible
ОтветитьHmm, what about new parents?
Ответить❤L❤l❤
Ответитьdid you just casually asked us if we had died?
ОтветитьIn Philippines we called "Namamahay" when you first sleep at someone house.
ОтветитьWhen one grows up in an abusive & violent household, the childhood trauma response is not being able to sleep peacefully. Like, you are sleeping but still have to wake up suddenly if anything goes wrong. These kinds of people (like me), are deep sleepers but the slightest of sound, touch, movement, or just we "know" someone is in the room, I immediately wake up in a mili second from my *deep sleep*. We sleep but sleep with our ears, mind & conscious open. We sleep, but never sleep sleep, if you understand what I mean.
ОтветитьI sometimes feel like I experience this. It's hard to describe, like you dream, you know you are dreaming, but don't know enough for it to be a lucid dream, and yet you are aware that you are asleep. Extremely weird stuff, idk if anyone else has felt this.
ОтветитьYes, especially when you're on exam
ОтветитьThere are times I wish I were awake while sleeping, because I can hardly believe that I DID sleep at all on some nights when my ADHD brain refuses to switch off. There was even a time when it felt like I was put under anesthesia when I fainted and it felt like a huge part of my internal time recording is missing during those periods.
And this is why I'm afraid of anesthesia altogether: it's right up there with total blackout from getting drunk or given amnesia pills of some sort, and not remember anything between all of that FREAKS ME OUT 😱
Forever sleep only happens in Fairy Tales I was like a Snow White and sleeping beauty
ОтветитьI know about a man whose brain somehow went to sleep.
it probably had a good dream because his brain was always sleeping
The brain is auto machine its never sleep even sleeping and the brain really love sugar a lot , but sugar not love liver , when the brain woke from sugar it was hard work for liver already, then liver push sugar to collection bag(this part hardly use by body as our body get new sugar and carb every day meal)
ОтветитьDunno, but last time i feel like im cut off from my body. Like, my body is resting, but I'm conscious and awake, only that my mind is a bit light and floaty.
It is not to the level of sleep paralysis since i can move my body should i decide to.
short answer: yes. and its scary, my whole body was numb and i remember it like a dream but i was awake
ОтветитьDolphins dont drown, they suffocate.
ОтветитьI suspect this is common in new parents especially Moms.
ОтветитьI remember at age 4 when i experienced my first daydream i would dose off on a memory and forget i was staring at the window and i found that very outstanding and would want to experience it again
ОтветитьYes I do
ОтветитьYou gonna be prepare when your body start to fell asleep but your brain somehow managed to stay awake
ОтветитьThe word snooze feels like snooze and when someone says it it sounds like snooze
ОтветитьThats saying the same as does your heart sleep? No!
ОтветитьActually used to experience this half asleep, half awake issue a lot. I had a sleep study done and was surprised to hear that I slept fine since I was aware of the room, sounds and being awake all night. Always wondered how I could be asleep and awake at the same time.
ОтветитьWell we probably can do more than that I have notice that some people Can space out and write at the same time has happen a lot to me without looking at the paper
ОтветитьMe going to sleep after a peaceful day .
My lungs :- Just don't . chest tightness
I remember having this dream at my grandma's. Apparently it wasn't a dream when she mentioned my actions to a friend on the phone. I was also confused when I found myself at the table rather than my bed, not remembering when I made myself breakfast. It's like I skipped time... almost like a JoJo reference or something.
Ответитьthank you , this really clarified this problem i was having recently to a degree
ОтветитьLiterally sleeping with one eye open huh?
ОтветитьWhat about pregnant women? Is the data different when the baby is born because theyre now on high alert for cries?
ОтветитьPlease make one on autism and ADHD. Trying to understand this condition.

Am awake , listening to surrounding & imagining my stories & I'm asleep at same time.... Not watching or moving
Nice information Thanks.
ОтветитьNeed a video on humans' sleep types. Like when do we have a deep sleep, when a sleep that makes us feel energetic/lethargic, and when a sleep with recurring dreams because I have had all of these.
ОтветитьPlz make video on sleep paralysis??
Ответить"Can you be awake and asleep at the same time?" Me, who is sick with maybe-COVID and recently woke up from a semi-lucid dream about a girl getting turned into a shark and then put in some sort of aquatic gladiatorial arena: YES
I know that isn't what the video's about, but I'm sick; I'm legally allowed to be weird.
Edit: Or maybe it is. It would make sense to keep more alert during times when you're weakened with illness, so you can escape more quickly.

ОтветитьBird says frig it, and just keeps going with one eye open
ОтветитьThis was interesting. I'm curious how the brain reacts when someone has COVID. I was awake for 50 hours straight without feeling tired even though I was actually super sick. I did end up crashing and sleeping for 16 hours straight with the help of some sleep meds though. When I awoke from that, my main symptoms were gone, but the exhaustion remained for a few days.
ОтветитьThis video makes me think I have asymmetrical sleep when I lie on my back. On the other hand, when I sleep on my belly I have the deepest most relaxing sleep ever.
ОтветитьIf you live in Canada your brain NEVER sleeps, it needs to go 24 7 365 or it will de boot, crash, freeze, and last become addicated to olive oil
ОтветитьYes...lucid dreaming.
ОтветитьI lived 50 yrs. with little sleep. I wondered why I never dreamed. I had other problems too and at one point I couldn't walk.
I went to a concert in Canada and didn't sleep the whole time. And when I got back, I went straight to work. 56 hrs. With no sleep.
Then I was diagnosed with Fybromyalgia and my life began at that point. With medication, I have finally begun to dream and feel rested. I'm not in constant pain for the first time and life is more bearable. It's amazing what sleep can do.
2022: 39
ОтветитьOn to the point: yes, our brain sleep
When we die
I have hyper realistic dreams when this happens to me. I'm also able to wake myself up at any moment. This usually occurs if I haven't slept in several days which is roughly once every six weeks.
ОтветитьWhen I had a stoke it felt like half my brain was a sleep and the other was wide awake
ОтветитьMy brain is in ON mode all the timr, being asleep is just on stand by as far as my head goes. It never lets up. Curious and curiouser
ОтветитьYou can. After taking zolpidem yesterday I started sleep walking and taking more and more of it, totaly unconciouss. I took 50mg and was so high that I remember ground shaking and walls changing colours. Later I probably fainted. Funny a bit and scary at the same time :D
