I love watching the Ishitani videos. I often envy of the designs, wood, tools and processes. The only thing I have equal is the same orange phillips screw driver. I got a full set of these and the straight ones when I was stationed in Japan while serving in the Air Force at Yokota. I miss the days of going to Japan's Do It Store. Far more than the same name different chain in the U.S.

I would like to know, if we can bend any kind of wood....thank you.
I understand if you don't want to spill all of your secrets but I have a few questions about the steaming process that you used here.
1. Are you soaking the wood in a solution or just water? And for how long?
2. Your irons are beautiful! Where are they from, they look vintage?
3. You iron/steam the wood for 30 minutes, constantly applying heat, rotating on all four sides, with the foil open on both ends. Is that correct?
Love your work!
All the best!

I love your videos, the way you make furniture is really impressive but for the sake of being more relaxe while watching your videos could you please film without the machine noise, just the ones that create a lot of noise, maybe inserting a calm music on that noisy part wold make your videos much more peacefull and entertaining.
