Trey Parker and Matt Stone once brought up George Lucas in their commentary for South Park. They basically said that after the original success of Star Wars, George Lucas' ego got too big for his own good and that he was constantly filled in a room with a bunch of yes men kissing his ass and putting a lot of trust in him because was able to catch lightning in a bottle a few times before. And either no one had the balls or foresight to say "Hey, maybe you should change this or improve on this aspect, or remove this." Everyone thought he like the second coming of Jesus Christ when it came to Star Wars.
And what happened was because no one challenged him, he ended up making certain decisions that the fans were confused by, disappointed with, or just outright didn't like.

I suspect that something similar happened to Marvel and Disney. After Endgame, not only did they think they were too big fail, but they thought as they kept pumping out content and making announcements for projects, that fans would continue to support and fund them even they made decisions which go directly against what the fans want.
It's like being in a relationship for over ten years, but after that milestone is hit, your partner slowly becomes more abusive and eratic, likely due to some drug addiction. In this case, that drug would be DEI.

And like every bad relationship, the one between Marvel and it fans is gonna have to end. And if that means Marvel needs to die or go bankrupt, so be it.

Marvel should bring Legion into the movies- that would have incredible potential. Legion is more powerful than any of them, has an amazing, rich, and tragic story. And he's insane.

There's nothing Disney can do to get me to watch another MCU movie. It ended after endgame for me. It ran it's course, move on to something else now. Or as drinker says.. go away now.

Disney needs to play out this “teaser” as hard as possible for the sake of the stock, creativity be damned. IP is a product and the money is in the market. The product is there to drive the value up. We are all looking at this backwards.

My serious guess is that Deadpool Wolverine and the x men cast will basically take over this as a way to drag people back to the movie theatre. I actually believe that they’re going to have cameos of almost all of the original stars from the avengers back and that will create the hype they need to make a $2 billion avengers movie. You see the biggest thing to remember is that Disney dumped their garbage right now because they know avatar is going to be huge and then they can hype up avengers enough to get people to show up for it.

Five hours just to tell audiences that Avengers: Doomsday will have a bloated cast is pretty outrageous.

The fact that some of those actors in the reveal are playing characters in movies and tv shows that have yet to be released shows how little Disney cares about things like stakes.

If disney had a speck of sense of humour, they'd print those names not on chairs, but on berries.

I had zero want to watch the next marvel movie now with a cast so huge the cost is at 200 mil with just cast and im not buying it had they went with deadpool kills the mcu then at the end fire all the disney leadership

F'ing idiocy. 🤯 I did the math on this in a comment on my video reaction about Doomsday's casting announcement. With 26 "heroes" and 1 "villain" so far, that's 27 actors. If you give each actor 1 line (which is probably what is in their contracts to get paid), that is approx 30 minutes of screen time RIGHT THERE! How do you even get to actually telling a story when the cast is rotating on-off-on camera at breakneck speed just to get enough screen time to say some words. This stuff matters.

I feel like they are casting these films BEFORE they have even written the script and proofed it for errors, logic, plot holes, etc. I literally cannot see how any of these films will be coherent, engaging, or capable of building and developing characters in order to make the story resonate with fans. These MFs are on a hot cash grab with the Doomsday film(s). This isn't storytelling.

Things I’m worried about: The fantastical 4 are going to be the stars. I just don’t think the fantastic 4 have ever been interesting. Reed Richards and Dr Doom are the only ones worth caring about.

They’re going to make it another multiverse thing where Dr doom is just tony stark in a universe where everything went wrong for him so he became evil iron main. Since it’s RDJ.

There is as many secret organisations, terror groups, evil white businessmen and alien invaders wanting to nuke earth as there are movies. Honestly, for their recruitment quotes to make sense every single background character must be working for an evil group.

And yet half of the super heros live in new York and the city is still constantly having wars fought in the streets daily repelled by only one super hero while the others are like 'nah, hells kitchen is like three blocks away, that's Dardevils job'.

Hiring RDJ as Doom is like hiring Bale as Joker, it feels kind of wrong since Iron Man and Doom fought against each other.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this flops as well. There’s no build up to it, no excitement, no connection with the films at all. There just stumbling from one shit storm to the next at the moment. I’ll probably watch it but I couldn’t care less about it if I’m honest

The MCU and DC have found their story lines and continuity is too complicated and will reboot with only the stuff you like in one big cross over. The movies did what the comics took decades but It is arguably the most "comic book" decision they could make.

Damn the mcu is done and been done. I was burnt out after endgame. Which was a bs story of a second chance at winning. Kind of stupid.

This could be, if it was written well, a great climax film and a send off of old characters and a rebirth of a new age. But you know it’s going to be a convoluted, sad, pathetic mess of a movie. I’m getting The Flash vibes off of this

- No buildup to Dr Doom
- No official Avengers team
- Far too many heroes announced for everyone to hae a proper place and more keep coming
How could it possibly fail?
