Looks like you got a good experience from all of this. I'm glad. Most people whom goes overseas without a good guide usually ends up bumping into unwanted behavior or end up being lucky enough not to experience anything crazy.
The old generation of Hmong tourist especially the bad ones are slowly weeding out. OGs use to go over there and create a bad name for us hmong tourist and those overseas would get use to categorizing all hmong tourist the same.......that we only go over there to take advantage of them.
But over the years, I think i see the narrative changing. Especially now that some of the younger hmong generation are making a difference overseas. Soon.....hopefully their will be less of a love and hate gap between hmong Americans, hmong french and those overseas
Is to commend his mother that even she is not Hmong made sure the son learned the language and his roots.
Important in any marriage of people from different cultures, countries.
The loyalty, the importance of family is what makes this story important.
ОтветитьIt a small planet, separated by hand mass but we must never get our roots.
ОтветитьGood video….THIS is how things should be documented.
ОтветитьAmazing story ...never forget your families ..Your father done the right ..by not forgetting family ...Thanks for sharing..
ОтветитьThis is the beauty of being Hmong.
ОтветитьThank you for this. My soul needed to see and hear this today.
ОтветитьThe Lao King should have put up a fight against communism, instead he just gave up his power because he didn't want civil war in the country. Man was he wrong. Communist and Vietcongs came in took power and started purging and persecuting Lao royalist and Hmongs. Millions of us Lao and Hmongs still out here living in foreign land, longing for our home country. One day brothers we will soon have our country back.
ОтветитьZoo kaws os s tij,

ОтветитьAmazing!
ОтветитьThank you for the video. Like many Hmong, we all share similar family stories and history. After the fall of Laos, my father made the long and dangerous trip to Thailand on foot, swimming across the Mekong River into freedom. He had to leave his family behind. After 15 years in the US, he was able to sponsor his mother, brother and sister. Sadly his father passed away in the mid 80s, so I never got to know my grandfather. My grandmother passed away about a year ago but at least she was able to live the last 25+ years with family. Anyway, we the current generation of Hmong must continue sharing our family stories and history. We are here today because of the sacrifices made by those before us.
ОтветитьWonderful!!
Ответитьit's crazy that you speak fluent English. As a Hmong American who speaks only two languages I am always envious of foreign born people who can speak like 3 languages. I made friends with a Hmong French girl who spoke fluent English, Hmong, French, and Japanese lol
ОтветитьPeb yog hmoob neej
Im A God believer
Never grew up a shaman
But i heard in laos if ur hmong and shaman u do a lot of ua neebs to ward off spirits
But we were told by the Vang Pao followers the Hmong are being hunted in Laos? Many Hmongs are high rank politicians and even communist Laos Army generals. They all seem fine, happy, and boom boom everyday and "mob paum" everyday. Communist Lao Hmongs are the most beautiful ❤️😍
ОтветитьWhat a touching story!!
ОтветитьThis was an amazing watch thanks for recording and sharing with us viewers.
ОтветитьDamn I feel so bad for the pig 😢
ОтветитьWhat’s your dad’s name if you don’t mind? My dad say he might know your dad.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing. It's very informative. God bless you and your family.
ОтветитьThanks for showing us your family’s journey. It’s great that you can speak and read Hmong. My kids are fully Hmong and we’ve tried to teach them but English is so natural to them. Love it when you speak Hmong!
ОтветитьCrying with happy tears
ОтветитьIt is very nice to find and meet your relatives even for so many years.
ОтветитьThis is very touching. I’m happy for your father to have found his family and for you to gain more relatives. My parents went back to Laos to visit their old village and where they grew up and it’s all jungles and graves now. War is such a disease and the innocent pays the price.
ОтветитьNice video bro I like ur voice lol good story teller.
ОтветитьHmong french
ОтветитьAwesome story! Gald your father found his long lost cousin. May God bless the ones that we all left behind in the old country!
ОтветитьVery touching when they haven’t see each other for so many years. Glad your dad found his cousin.
ОтветитьGood JOB my Nephew
ОтветитьWow. I have high respect for his wife and son. I am speechless and cry with happy tears at the same times because most of us left our loves one behind. I hope someday I will find my siblings. I left my family since I was two days old.
