Mj is a big gambler
Of course he made the bulls pay up on the bet
Jordan took it personal
ОтветитьI believe after Don got his money, the team pushed to drop the insurance company as punishment. You bet that the insurance company a lot of money in PR and had to discount their service heavily.
ОтветитьMike took that personally
ОтветитьHe’s even luckier that this happened in Chicago, Michael Jordan’s palace, of all places
ОтветитьMJ Don’t play about money 😂 it doesn’t matter who’s money.
ОтветитьI always wondered what happened to the people who won 500k or 250k from these events. When teams gave away season tickets and merch it made sense. But a team giving someone that much money in one night is insane
ОтветитьAfter Don hit the shot Jordan actually whispered to him: “I got a poker game tonight, you in?”
Ответитьinsurrance companies are your best friends......until they have to pay you. Then they will do anything to not pay, anything.
ОтветитьThey wanted a bunch of chumps to take the shot, not someone that could play.
ОтветитьNever liked basketball. As a kid Mr. Jordan was some one energy one was amazed by! So every body watched him. I've never heared anything bad on the man & it always seemed like he was a well respected person! It's good to hear stories like this where Mr. Jordan only gives us more reason to have respect! Great storie!
ОтветитьRip Craig 🙏
ОтветитьThe name of that insurance company that didn't pay up is American Hole 'N One Inc
ОтветитьI do not think was the three-point line with Oscar Robinson played??
ОтветитьHe got to hug Jordan! That’s probably worth it to him on its own. Lol
ОтветитьGreat story, great video.
ОтветитьW mj the fucking GOAT
ОтветитьWow didn’t know mj did this he could’ve just not cared or said it isn’t his problem
ОтветитьMJ wont like that
ОтветитьLeave it to the scuumbags in the insurance industry
ОтветитьMad respect to Michael Jordan, the Legendary Pokemon 😍😘😗😙😚☺
Ответить1 million dollars invested in the 90s would be worth way more now than the 50k annually smh
ОтветитьLmao insurance companies are such soulless corporate hacks
ОтветитьRespect to them boys for that
Ответитьto put it into perspective that was in 1993 which was 30 years ago. After inflation that 1 million dollars doubled into 2 million dollars today. And the insurance company scammed him out of his well earned money
Ответить🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿 Lebron didn't do this
ОтветитьIt's already insanely rare to make the shot. But, that's not enough. They also don't want anybody that actually has played a little ball to do it.
Ответитьi work with the guy now. He is a really humble guy wow i didnt know this was him wow
ОтветитьHow were these other contestants so unathletic? If it were me, I'd be training night and freaking day.
ОтветитьFailed society
ОтветитьCheated - should not of been paid and gave a chance to a non cheater
ОтветитьNice nice !!
ОтветитьBro you a legend!💯
ОтветитьYou could have literally told this story in 30 seconds lol 😂
Ответитьur the greatest
ОтветитьHonestly I woulda taken the tv
ОтветитьI used to be in my middle school basketball and used to make 3 pointers all the time and I am in college now I still wonder what was I on cause I can't even dribble now
Ответитьfull class to Michael Jordan, and i've never heard of this story. Basketball, isn't a big thing in my country, but i looked up Don
"Don later continued to work with office supplies, getting approximately $38,000 (after taxes) every year until 2013. He characterized the money as nice, but not something that made him feel rich. Thirty years after making the shot, Calhoun lives in the Midwest and has four children, one of whom was able to earn a college degree (the first in the family to do so) and later a medical degree partly thanks to his father's prize money"
pulled from Wiki
think about it like this, that one Shot, and that act of Kindness from the Bulls, created a family legacy
That is so crazy. If I was that poor kid, and they told me I wasn't getting the money, I think I'd go into a deep depression and never be right again. So cool that Jordan and the team made sure he got what he earned. That was a very anxiety-inducing story...and then a heartwarming one at the end! Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьIf Michael never did this jerry might have let them go for another championship tho
ОтветитьLove your content, love your narration and enthusiasm - love everything about your work!! Keep it up!!!
ОтветитьA free tv for making a shot? Sounds like a bet
ОтветитьSuch fricking legends
Ответитьi wish i could beat the bank's ass
