Suggest you look deeper into church history and investigate orthodoxy which precedes both roman catholicism and protestism. Suggest that you consult with Fr. Josiah Trenham of the Antiochian Orthodox Church . . .

I was born Protestant, remain an Evangelical Protestant, but have learned so much from studying Catholicism. I am not going to convert, am happy with my church service, but I have been able to read Catholic writing and ask Catholic Priest things that my own church simply has no answer for ❤❤❤.

Today, Bro Luther, the German, would be welcomed today as a "cafeteria Catholic'. "A cafeteria Catholic is a follower of Catholicism who dissents from certain official doctrinal or moral teachings of the Catholic Church.[1][2] Polling indicates that the overwhelming majority of Catholics dissent from the institutional hierarchy on at least one issue.[3] Bro Luther would be at home today in the Universal Church. Luther was not simply a “cafeteria theologian” – he was a cafeteria Scripture reader. He added and subtracted from Scripture so as to conform the Bible to his tastes like many Protestants.

The mass is a metaphysical event whereby the veil between Heaven and Earth is lifted for a few moments. Heavenly hosts, angels, saints and guides et al gather (and sometimes appear as I have witnessed) above the alter during mass and holy communion. Typically people come in before mass begins to pray. During mass the veil lifts and their prayers are received by the host of angels. After mass many angels and guides will accompany the person back to their homes to give them healing and guidance throughout the week. Sometimes it’s possible to feel them in the car with you, kind of like at the end of the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland, except instead of ghosts it’s angels.

John 6
Jesus says (over and over again till many followers leave him)
"If you do not eat my my flesh and drink my blood you have no life in you, and you will not inherit eternal life".
St. Paul tells us in 1st Corinthians that "anyone who receives the body or blood of Christ in an unworthy manner heaps damnation on himself". Sounds like what Jesus tells us in Johns Gospel!
It was not symbolic! It's what Our Lord Jesus commands us to do! If it was symbolic the followers of Christ wouldn't have said "this is a very hard teaching ". It is hard but, its what Jesus Christ tells us what we need to do! Prayerfully consider all this, and please come home to the Catholic church where we all belong!

I'd never convert to Catholicism but I enjoy their old buildings, great music, and their homilies even if i disagree theologically i still enjoy it. It's more fun when you have an informed Catholic guide to ask questions. I always have questions.

Catholic or Protestant .. does not matter. What matters is that you/we/I come to Christ, believe in Him, receive Him into our hearts then live the life of Love and Forgiveness like He did. You/we can do this anywhere even on a remote island. Membership of a church or religion does NOT guarantee you Heaven, but believing & receiving Jesus into your heart as your Lord & Savior will.

I think it helpful to understand the differences between various branches of the Church (denominations) as differing emphases. For instance, all Christians will affirm James 5:16, that we should confess our sins to one another, and pray for one another to be healed. But exactly how does one do that? Evangelicals will agree that it’s a good idea in theory, but have no systematic approach to practicing it. The Roman Catholic practice of having a priest hear a confession, on behalf of the church, is not the only way of following this scripture, but it is a well thought out system as part of a plan of spiritual formation. Or in the case of the holy communion, the vast majority of the worlds Christians (Orthodox, RC, Anglican, Lutheran, Presbyterian) believe that Jesus is present in the consecrated elements, and that in receiving them, we are receiving Christ himself. The different traditions vary in their approach, to explaining how this is the case, and their explanations emphasize different aspects of the Eucharist, but all agree that the Lord’s supper is a participation in the one eternal sacrifice of Christ on the cross, and not simply a commemoration.

Israel - “one who struggles with God”

A Jew ask a crowd of Atheists “Have you ever questioned your Atheism?” No one is the crowd answered yes.

The Jew responds, “How insecure are you people? I question my faith constantly. Because I love God so much I must struggle with my faith. To know that I truly believe.”

Roman Catholicism never decided it is different from Protestantism. Catholicism has been like that for thousands of years. BUT Protestantism decided they wanted to be different from Catholicism hundreds of years ago.

In Catholicism, no matter what our rites is, we stay the same. 🤍

This video moved me a lot. As a catholic I realy like to go to the confessional, this one of the important parts to prepare yourself for the eucharisty by confessing your sin and prepare your hearth to receive the Gospels of God with a clean soul. Every time I condfess myself I feel joy in my hearth and I feel releived afterward leaving a sensation of lightness in my body having released all those sin I had in my mind. This is one of the reason why confessional are often placed at the entry of the church like the Baptismal font it's a precession to prepare yourself to let God come into you. This is the first time I watch your channel and I realy liked it God bless you brother. 👃

I grew up in the Catholic faith and education all the way from K-college! There were years in my youth and 20's where I was putting my faith on the backburner, but now in my 30's I love my faith and love learning more about, and defend it when I have to from outside and within if needed. I love my Saviour, and most blessed mother Mary, and pray to my guardian angel appinted to me for life by God our father. My faith crushes the deceiver Satan.

Man I hope it’s to receive the sacraments and worship God and not as some kind of ecumenical art exchange. That would be pretty gross and an offensive use of the sacred.
