Fairy Tail is TRASH... NOT! (And here’s a retrospective)

Fairy Tail is fun, character wise but the story is so ass and characters are underdeveloped

For me the best thing about fairy tale was the characters in fairy tale and how the series gave all of them character development and time to shine, the family they built in the guild and the comedy was really good and balanced with heart. The thing I hate was the plots and power scaling. Sure some of the fights had a lot of heart but the plot progression and power scaling really took me out. It is almost similar to why I fell out of love with Black Clover. These series have great stories but I wasn't too much impressed with execution, they start the best but lose me at some point.

I didn't know people hated on Fairy Tail this much. I didn't love the third season as much when i saw it, but not for lack of things i loved about it.
It's a great experience and the show itself is great by not being stagnant and taking way too long in battles. I love battles in my shonen, butnsometimes they drag and they never do in Fairy Tail, leaving room for the plot and emotional moments, which are what I care the most about.

Fairy tail was my first true anime that I actually stuck around with until the end. Yes theres a lot of cliches and corniness but the characters are lovable and I like to see them succeed. I like to see their struggles and how they overcome them. Sure the series has problems but I love it a lot. One day I wanna get a fairy tail tattoo in honor of this incredible anime.

The thing that really sold the series was the music for me. Yasuharu Takanashi did the OSTs for the series and as a metalhead, he really hit it out of the park. And for me, the best manga arc was Tartaros hands down, and in the anime, I’d probably give it to Grand Magic Games

not gonna like the abuse of power of friendship thing to boost natsu to make him win any fight really ruined the show for me cause it dosen't reveal how strong his gotten if he keeps relying on his friends power. its redicolous how many times this gets abused.

Tairy Fail is a series that's very dear to me. I don't think i ever read another manga so full of complete asspuls and enjoyed each one of them. Every week i was waiting for another chapter to see what bullshit will Mashima write this time. Which character we'll see facing certain death just to see that they actually somehow survived. Which characters sad backstory we will experience in this chapter. Who will turn out to be related to who in a shocking twist that everybody saw from light years away. And the most important thing: Erza overcoming powerful opponents not because of new weapons, not because she trained under renowned masters,, but simply because: "She's Ezra".

Reading it weekly was probably one of the most fun experiences i had with ongoing manga.

Love this guild that is loving Fairy Tail

I loved how the manga did the Pandemonium event in the Magic Games much more than the anime. It spent 90% of the chapter going over the complex rules only for Erza to completely crush it in a 1 page post battle spread.

With the exception of Makarov's ressurection I actually don't mind the ending. Yes closing the story on Zeref and Mavis ascending to the afterlife would be a stronger end but ultimately the one we got works. Because it has Lucy doing something clever and everyone else chipping in to help pull it off and it has Natsu getting a boost from those in the fight with him to finish off the bad guy. It's quintessential Fairy Tail. Also I like that it's not just Natsu beat Acnologia - it's that Acnologia has a moment of clarity and realises how far off his original goal he's gotten but being unable to stop himself so the Dragon Slayers do it for him. It parallels Acnologia and Zeref nicely and I like that Mashima did that for his two big villains.

This anime was made PERFECTLY for me. You can say this show has millions of flaws, but if you told me to call them out I wouldn't be able to tell you one of those flaws. That's how good I find it. It is perfection.

Fairy Tail and Full metal Alchemist were the first anime's I ever watched and I loved every single moment of them

Fairytale was fun to watch while turning off your brain. It was filled with a lot of asspull moments in almost every major arc. Even watching your video, I started remembering how much the last arc pissed me off. Even for fairytail, there were too many miracle moments in the last arc. Doesn't deserve a rewatch at all.

My favorite characters in FAIRY TAIL are Freed,Natsu,Gajeel,Markurav, Laxus&Wendy

I really like Fairy tail. The power leveling, story and character development have been really well done.

Any anime that have close-up on girls parts is trash. Maybe a random ecchi no, but for this anime importance when was relevant? yeah, trash. good designs, good ideas, poor development. Being popular isnt being good. grow up guys, watch some really good shows and maybe you guys can start to understand the real quality gap here.

It bothers me when people say Natsu got a random power boost in his fight with Jellal when in reality it was explained that Dragon Slayers can eat magic to power up and ethernano is extreme stuff which caused Natsu to activate Dragon Force for the first time

Fairy Tail was fine until the ending. Both major villains were defeated by a really poor power of friendship.

No the sequel does not fix that ending.
