That had to hurt like hell. How though would crucifying an apostate fit in with anything in Christianity?
ОтветитьI remember that when I watched this scene for the first time I had my ass in my hand, I thought that atheustan was going to die and I was still thinking that atheustan would die and Ragnar would never know Anyway it was tense hahaha, but this ep na my opinion was one of the best in the series.
ОтветитьI love Jesus because he makes love he always loved you
ОтветитьWhy?😂
ОтветитьAmazing ain't it makes u wonder more how this world formed in name of money power ?control respect hmmmm truth
Ответитьim an anti-teist but crucifiction of jesus is very fascinating, moving and actor's performance is amazing
ОтветитьBe careful what you do my friends perhaps you got it wrong.
ОтветитьThe symbolism in this scene is incredible and shows the two faiths that have, up to this point, conflicted poor Athelstan. On the one hand, he's being crucified in nearly the exact same way as Christ (nailed to the cross with a crown of thorns upon his head). But if you look closely, you'll notice that his right eye has been sealed shut from all the physical trauma, which is a nod to the Norse god Odin (who sacrificed his own right eye for knowledge). Brilliant, brutal, even beautiful, scene, one of the best moments in the entire series.
Ответитьit is unfair for Christians to want everybody to be Christian. When a person of our religion converts, we let him. We dont force him to convert back.
ОтветитьChirtsians suck
ОтветитьGuys it’s killing me I forgot and just restarted the show. Does Athelstan every talk about the crucifying to anyone ? Or does floki just pull his bullshit? Thanks.
ОтветитьImagine going back in time witnessing someone getting crucified and ask him "excuse me do you know where Jesus went"?
ОтветитьDoes any one know the sound track
ОтветитьWhat Is the name of the background music ❤️?
ОтветитьA 100 usd for the one who tell me the sound track that plays when he is on the cross
ОтветитьWhat’s the background chant when he starts praying?
ОтветитьThis would be total blasphemy
ОтветитьIt's pretty painful
ОтветитьI think he’s just imagining the nails or the nails are just a symbol
ОтветитьThis just shows that both Vikings and saxons are not black and white, they both have their good and bad sides
ОтветитьHe won’t be able to do push ups forever if his hands are like that.
ОтветитьChristianity is fucked up.
ОтветитьFrom now on I'm saying Santamas.
ОтветитьWhy did he tell the men who captured him he was like them/from England? That was the dumbest thing he could’ve done especially because he’s been warned before that if they find out he will be crucified
ОтветитьI was reading that this happened in the show on Wikipedia and I would be laughing if this wasn’t so historically inaccurate. NOBODY in england or anywhere in christendom would crucify a prisoner, not even a pagan. Certainly not a bishop! What were the directors on?!?!
ОтветитьI think the mpst horrifying thing about crucifixion is the realisation that not only someone is just merely stabbing a nail through your hand (ive had one go through my foot. It really hurt like hell) but that you are being deprived of the liberty to react and runaway. You are being forcefully pinned to a tree to starve by some sick strangers against your will. Its very rapey. Not cool.
ОтветитьJust fyi. Apostasy has never been illegal in Christianity. Leaving the faith was considered treason by secular authorities
ОтветитьActually the Nails were stabbed in the wrists not the hands
ОтветитьWhy did they do it ? I haven't watched the show yet.
ОтветитьAnd floki deserved every last bit of pain for this
ОтветитьThis is how I want to go out.
ОтветитьI think the Bishop read the Quran instead of the Bible, there is no account anywhere in the world that anyone is crucified by Christians.
ОтветитьWhy ???
ОтветитьWhy?
ОтветитьI really wanted to like this show but it has so many ridiculous scenes and moments that completely ruin the experience for anyone who has a love of history and understanding of medieval Christian society and morality. This would never happen. I understand it’s embellishment but it’s just typical anti-Christian revisionism and propaganda.
