Catholic and protestant are 2 form of the same religion. I am not atheist but i have no religion. I just try to be nice to people and help needy people whenever i can. Maybe i need to start my own religion, just a funny though.

What I find hilarious is that Protestantism started to protest the Catholic church's greed and corruption, only for them to form greedy and corrupt megachurches around the world themselves.

I grew up in a Lutheran church, but at no point did anyone ever teach me this history. Why?

If one considers the dramatic remit of Protestantism, the word that encompasses their cosmic evaluation of context is the word 'Quotidian.'

The pope was never leader of the Christian church, the pope is a Catholic position. The video doesn't even mention the split between the Christian church in 1054, from which the western Catholic church and the eastern Ortodox church begun. It's ridiculous how inaccurate and overly simplified this video is given that it's supposed to be educational content on a widely recognised educational channel such as NG.

It's amazing how significant changes can partially come from people not wanting to be scammed and be able to read.

Humanism as it arose in the era prior to the Reformation had nothing to do with modern humanism. It had to do with the importance of the humanities (rhetoric, moral philosophy or ethics, history and poetry). Liberal arts, conversely, focused primarily on logic-based disciplines. The humanists of that era believed that truth could be found only in history. It had nothing to do with self-autonomy.
