Any idea why I'm getting this:
"The wireless router currently uses a private WAN IP address.
This router may be in the multiple-NAT environment and DDNS service cannot work in this environment."
and I'm unable to connect to the VPN server that I set.
Any help will be much appreciated
Hi! Thank you for sharing. I have a question. I am setting this up to get a connection from my home in a secondary location. I was purchasing the Asus RT- ACRH18 for the secondary location. Is that not a good router to have for the home location? Does that one not do server and client? I see that the router you have listed also says subscription free, does it need to say that? (im new to this)
ОтветитьYou are fantastic professor! Quick question about the configuration you have on your asus router... With the VPN enabled, does this slow down the download/upload throughput of devices on the home network? In other words, does local inbound/outbound home traffic (while you are using devices in your home network) also get routed through the VPN?
Ответитьsir can i do it by vps server?
ОтветитьThank you. What I found out was the original Asus Firmware for my router worked for me and not the Merlin one. If you are running the Merlin firmware for your router and it is not working, then maybe revert to the original Asus version. You may loose some features but it will ease the frustration
ОтветитьI did exactly like you said, but I can't connect to openvpn client, is it because im using private WAN IP? I think I need to setup port forwarding because my router connect to the internet through another router. Do you have a walk through for setting up port forwarding?
ОтветитьThank you for the video, it worked!
If its not working for anyone, try updating your router to the latest firmware, and select renew certification for the OpenVPN before exporting the file out.
I was getting this error "you are using insecure hash algorithm in ca signature" before updating my router.
Hi Eloy, I have a question for you about using this process for my need. Let's say I have "NAS1" at location 1 and "NAS2" at location 2 on the other side of town. I want to backup NAS1 to NAS2 regularly. With the DDNS and VPN connected as you showed here, will I still be able to access my local network resources (NAS1) at location 1 on a PC that would be connected to my remote network at location 2 for copying files from location 1 to location 2? - Thanks.
ОтветитьVery good and clear explanation. Thanks. 👍
Ответитьis there any way we can bypass the deep packet inspection thru the setup sir?
ОтветитьTeaching skills on this man are just 10/10
ОтветитьHow many concurrent users can connect to the OpenVPN server on the router?
Thanks for the video!
Great vid thks mate! 👏
ОтветитьVery professional. And thorough. Ty
ОтветитьClear and concise video. Video gives me the confidence to setup my own openvpn. Thank you for sharing your experience.
ОтветитьNice video ❤ Thank you.👌👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьSuccess with your advice. Thank you sir. Now, the only issue is my IpLocation shows as somewhere in West Virginia, rather than Pennsylvania. What could I be doing wrong? When I don't use vpn, my cellphone shows PA location (with wifi and even with wifi off on my cellphone). Please help.
ОтветитьSuper mi-a fost de ajutor ,multumesc 😃
ОтветитьThis should be the standard for delivering concise technical instruction. Thank you!
Ответитьmy IP address has changed back to the home IP after connecting to an external network but I cannot access my router admin page (saying I'm not connected to my home router). Can you advice how to diagnose this problem?
