Oh dang, does the shadow master's traps really count to your own total trap amount?

Have you tried this out on a controller setup? With a controller you have a total of 12 abilities set to each button.
Also how does this work if your mb is based on a claw giving you this ability, hence no hard points, possibly no unecessary casts.

If you are starting out or slow progressing, choose the Warrior. They mimic your spells at the SAME LEVEL as you. If you have 20 points into WOF, the lvl 1 warrior will have lvl 20 WOF. But the Master needs 20 points to have 20 points in WOF.

Odds are in the early game you want them to mimic the powerful spell that you are using.

Sill question. You said the shadow warrior will try to copy your selected skill.. does this include O skills like passions zeal or berserk??

i think the master makes a pretty good tank she is quick to engage so picks up aggro quick

Shadow master only keeps spamming mind blast if you put points in it yourself... I don't have any points in mb and I see her use it once in a blue moon. Her skills seem to have a heavy bias to use the skills you have the most points in. Even a single point in a skill with all the +skills will pump up the likelihood of her using said skill grows exponentially. The example build you provided here also had the mind blast maxed out...
Her gear keeps improving until level 25, as the itemlevel of the affixes grows up until that point (or maybe it was 26 before she reached iLvl 99?)
Shadow master also gets a ton of STR and DEX (+10 each level) which in turn can scale her kick damage to insane amounts. Try building her with maxed out tiger strike + dragon tail and her 500 str 500 dex kicks will obliterate everything. (Dragon tail damage is multiplied by tiger strike so it's possible for ther to reach over 50k AoE damage for her kicks~)

There used to be a hack, way, way back in the OG classic d2 days, that would let you see what other players and summons were equiped with. The main purpose for this hack was for pvp, but it was also super cool to be able to see what summons get.
Anyway, the difference betwean warrior and master is that, warrior only got blue items, while master got rare items. The rolls on them were 100% random, so you could roll an absolute beast of a summon with one cast, and a wet noodle with another. The difference was indeed crazy.

Are you certain that Shadow Master benefits from Block + Claw mastery? Every piece of research I have done suggests otherwise. I can find no confirmation that the Master gets these skills. Any discussion would be appreciated.

shadow master can use weapon block and masstery and its depend on his lvl and not shure if its depend on your skill on them

I have an anoing problem whit shadow master. And it is that some times she does a spell that makes the area of the spel go black, and i cans se whats hapening. I have the same problem whit Shoch web and some ader skills.

I wonder if I use a phoenix strike charge and am subject to "next delay" penalty, and the shadow warrior and/or hits it with the same right after, will my summon utilize my next delay calculation instead of its own? If it uses mine, a shadow warrior might be a waste for a phoenix strike sin

Neither Warrior or Master spawn with boots. 😢. So neither can kick well.

The shadow master doesn't suffer res penalties for difficulty. It means she can often be used as a clincher, and can't be despawned by bosses. She can also break CC's on your char/merc, which will save your life, more often than not in Hell. - Shadow warrior is great up until A5 normal, after that Shadow master is imperative. Unlike Decoy & Valkyrie which both are always useful.

What does the Shadow Warrior copy of you’re playing on console or simply using a controller.

Nice video as always , may i ask you a question? i have except my sorc an assassin too and i want to ask you when i full up the blast of the last synergies in trap tree, instead of putting 3 or 4 {with plus skills arround 20) is better choise to put them into wake of fire to been boost from blast instead spend the last points when reach 99 to shadow warrior/master?

The Shadowmaser's traps can be devistating. I had a level 45 shadow master on a whirlwind / dragon claw Assasin I was running. I had like one point in each trap to dig down to put a single point into death sentry. But, other than casting the odd one of those occasionally. I had no traps on this assasin. But, I just let the master have the 5 trap slots and she would just spam all sorts of powerful stuff. Worked amazingly.

One thing you can do with the shadow warrior is use the new quick cast feature. You can keep death sentry on right click as a martial arts assassin. This makes the warrior use only death sentry, while you can use your martial arts build and not waste time and mana casting death sentry. That will give you faster kill speed.

I believe in the old days maphack would allow you to view other players equipment and this included also shadows and valk.

There is one important thing about the skills -> warrior "remembers" the skills used and it applies synergies. Eg. if you put lightning sentry on your right click an warrior uses it, and then you swap for death sentry, then death sentry used by warrior will benefit from the synergy.
And since the calculation of the skill level of the summon uses the softpoints and not hardpoints (as in the example in the video, you got a skill level above 20), I believe you can actually get synergy from more than 20 points. Using this trick you can also get shadow warrior skills to be higher level than what you have, although it does require some effort to "train" the warrior.
