As a business management student, this video helps me to have a clear overview of the strategic management process and a practical way to understand it
ОтветитьThis is a uselful video. It would be easier to listen to and understand if the voice over was recorded with a person without a head cold.
ОтветитьThank you Anthony for sharing this great video
ОтветитьThank you! Can you clarify what external analysis means? Is that a third party doing an analysis on my organization? I'm having difficulty understanding what a pestle analysis would be

ОтветитьHello, I have a question: Between Balanced scorecard and key success factor which is come first?. Thanks.
Ответитьthe thing that seems a bit strange in this pyramid is the vision on top, not the mission. since the mission is permanent (you cannot really change the reason why your organization exists) and visions can change every 3 years or so, wouldn't it be logical to put the mission on top?
ОтветитьIn SWOT , SW must be internal factors not whole SWOT external only OT are external
ОтветитьThank very nice lucher...but what defrnt mine between planing and strategic
ОтветитьGreat Video !!!!!
Ответить1. Your "Vision -> Mission -> Goals & Objectives -> Strategies (sic!) -> Tactics" is a wrong summary of the Strategy Management process, not of the Strategic Planning process, which means that you don't really know what you are talking about.
2. The Vision statement is a by-product of the Strategy Formulation process, not a major input or milestone. You are presenting some legacy 'strategic' thinking' stuff, and things like "If success was a place, how would you know if you got there?" is just low-value consulting lip-service.
3. Your definition of the Mission statement - just some useless fantasy of yours, I guess.
4. Your shallow stuff about Values - just obsolete consultancy slideware that nobody buys today anymore.
5. "What are the most important things you should be doing in your organization to accomplish your mission and your vision"? Hahaha :-) That is your foundation for building a Strategic Plan?!? That is COMPLETELY wrong, man!
6. KPIs are for "measuring your strategic priorities" ... What?!? You have NO clue about what KPIs are used for in a Strategic Plan. Absolutely NONE!
7. "Scoreboard"? What's that? Something you just invented while taking a shower? What's wrong with the individual scorecard, as employed for the past 30+ years in countless Kaplan-Norton BSC implementations?
8. Your illustration of the Balanced Scorecard system is no longer in use for the past 15 years. Everyone has switched to the 6-stage XPP cycle, except for you and other 'consultants' like you, it seems.
9. The "cascading goals" part shows how decoupled you are from the modern Strategy Management methodology. You no longer 'cascade', you Align the Strategic Objectives, NOT 'goals', and that is done vertically, horizontally and bottom-up. Surprisingly, you use the term 'alignment' a few slides later, but you don't really grasp what that is all about, so you replace it with some shallow consultant lip-service.
10. On the 'People' part, you obviously have no clue what Strategic Jobs Families are or what roles they have, the most valuable people-related concept brought by Kaplan & Norton inside the Strategy Execution methodology.
Conclusion: If there are 1 million people who buy this kind of stuff that you present here, I hope that there are at least other 100,000 people who really understand what Strategic Planning is and how it works. Not learned from you, of course.
Spot on and to the point, thank you.
ОтветитьWhy didn't I see this earlier?
This is by far the best presentation video I've seen this year.
Thanks for sharing!
Bro you spelled “strengths” wrong on your 3rd slide
Ответитьくさんありますありがとうございます」、
ОтветитьVery helpful! My org is realigning and we have to develop a new dept. function on the fly. This is very impactful in helping brainstorm and develop the direction. Thank you!
ОтветитьFantastic presentation, is there somewhere I can download the power point used in this video?
ОтветитьEm chơi hay quá
ОтветитьSuch a comprehensive explanation related to the topic is applicable to any type of organization or institutional planning.
ОтветитьThis will definitely guide me as I take on service manager position. Thank you for this informative video
ОтветитьVery helpful content! This is the first video that I saw from your channel and will definitely be watching more
ОтветитьVideos like this are classic and comprehensive for one’s understanding…I do appreciate your works to the community!
It’s being quite a year and couple of months now I’ve been trading and investing in market commodities, making huge gains and a loss at same time while learning under Mr. Ray Perkins mentorship platform. He’s the best I’ve worked with all through my trade journey.
Thanks to him I earn on a weekly basis having him manage my account and portfolio!
Thanks so much bro.
ОтветитьBrilliantly insightful and concise.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьThe "steps of the strategic planning process in under 15 minutes" is a slightly different take on what we have learned in the order of the process of strategic planning. I do agree that starting with input and analysis to show how internal and external stakeholders must be included. The key idea of the success of the strategy is buy in from each and every stakeholder. An inspirational mission and clear vision statement drives the organization in a clear direction. The use of a pyramid as a graphic organizer does help, but the playing cards are too much of a distraction. Your take on risks is beneficial to the audience in reiterating the importance of anticipation. Avoiding unwanted risks, but formulating strategies to adopt some risks may be part of a good strategy. Known types of risks are something you can just about calculate. Uncertainty is something else, because you may not be able to accurately anticipate in order calculate. The "cascading goals" is a good tool to use in the formulation of a strategy. The responsibility of goal achievement and implementation is a shared duty among each level of the organization.
ОтветитьCan't be better. Great video!👍👍👍👍 👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьThank you very much for this video. I just started a new job as a business consultant. It was clear and targeted specific points. Thank you.
Ответитьnot sure why you use a pyramid. It's not really going in order. You are starting from the top down. If the vision is the foundation it should be at the bottom of the pyramid?
