you know how crazy you talk into it was even i had no background in sculpting, your words made me think i can. and by just following these steps wholeheartedly by means of passion of interest
ОтветитьI’d love to know how long this sculpture in the video took to complete
ОтветитьBreathtaking! 🙏🏻
It is looking fantastic.
Excellent and fascinating video. beautiful work. Not to complain or anything but there is not a single ninja turtle in this whole video.
ОтветитьAre there any modern day examples of re-creating carvings such as Queirolo's "Il Disinganno" without the use of modern day power tools? Would like to find more info/videos about modern sculptors that use traditional methods producing details such as gauze, or fishnetting as in Queirolo's mentioned piece.
Ответитьwe went from this amazing craftmanship, to straight up EVERYTHING UGLY AF!
ОтветитьUnreal
ОтветитьСлава ремесленнику , который с Богом создал этот мир !
ОтветитьTalent and magic.
ОтветитьI really enjoyed this video. You are a fantastic artist.
ОтветитьPfft….everything glorifies the west, because they’re the only ones who civilised everyone else? Like India didn’t contribute anything to architecture or the arts? Ever heard of the Bengali renaissance? I hate you
ОтветитьClay is hhard enough, I cant imagine carving stone which you cant simply smear material back on that you took too much off by accident!
Ответить+
Roughly, how much time was tied up in that carving?
I find this incredibly interesting, I know nothing of sculpting stone much less marble but I'm simply compelled to start learning. I live on an island so the only plentiful stones or rock are either river stones or lava rock. I'll also have to learn all about the tools of the trade, chisels brushes hammers etc. Anyways I'll be investigating many more videos on this subject, Thank you so much for posting this beauty.......🎸🎸🎸♥️
ОтветитьArtists like this really make the world special.
ОтветитьHow long does it take to make something like this piece of art?
ОтветитьI learn something new each time I watch this. Simon you make me want to try this as Donatello is my favorite Early Renaissance sculptor.
ОтветитьI feel like the final shot could have had better lighting
ОтветитьIt's 2 am...I've never even seen a blank slab of marble... never known anyone who knows anything about this world...why did I watch this whole thing?
ОтветитьThat's amazing
ОтветитьThis is so amazing! Thank you!
Ответить"..one side's a lot lower than the other, so you can't really draw that.."
What kind of sh*t artist dosent know about shading?
Wouldnt trust this dude to paint a fence..
I wish you'd wear a dust mask. I'd hate to see such talent cut short by Silicosis.
Ответить1st time watching stone carving . why am i feeling so serene and relax .
ОтветитьWasn't Donatello the one with the stick and tape?
ОтветитьWhere does one go to buy these chisels to get started? Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat work, Simon. Wonderful work, V & A.
ОтветитьMarvellous talent.
ОтветитьCarving is just about trapping the shadow! Incredible!
ОтветитьAfter watching your video, which I admire to watch, please wear a safety mask or respirator. I see too much dust flying around as you work.
ОтветитьDo you wear a safety mask for this type of work?
Ответитьnot carved. Poured geo-polymer
ОтветитьTungsten is a ceramic? What?!?
ОтветитьI didn’t know that the Ninja Turtle could sculpt marble. Mindblowing.
ОтветитьWhat a joy to watch! Thank you ❤
Ответитьgreat interview
ОтветитьThat was amazing, the way you described it it really meant something to me.
Ответитьmade me want to try these tools and materials :) when I see someone doing art, I can’t help myself, but want to play with the toys these people are playing…
ОтветитьI never really though about it before, but carving (especially panel carving) can be though of as a drawing using actual shadows as the medium. That is such an interesting concept that I would have never thought of before.
ОтветитьThis is one of the strangest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles episodes I’ve ever seen.
ОтветитьThe eyes are off
ОтветитьSo educational and beautiful work. Thank you.
ОтветитьVery nice work
Ответитьseems like a genuinely nice human being,........stone carving is def' a medium I haven't tried yet,......but looks so awesome.
ОтветитьBeautiful. Its would have been great to show how long did it take him to finish it
ОтветитьI will never sculpt, but this information may be useful in the arts I actually do practice.
ОтветитьThe voice kind of doesnt fit him haha
ОтветитьI'd like to know what type of sharpening stone are you using to sharpen your chisels?
ОтветитьIt's amazing how given more superior tools, a person can do a crappies job
