the klingon who stabbed the mayor in the back. Yeah that is the warriors way. Stabbing someone in the back. Real warrior indeed. Cowards way is how the klingon warriors has been in every star trek series.

Never understood why the double-handed fitting. There are so may better ways to strike an opponent. 9ne of the best sci-fi series, next to Babylon 5.

Can you imagine if such a scene were to be replicated with modern cgi and budget? It would be one of the best scifi battles of all time.

I can't help but wonder if they're speaking Mandarin. (I thought at first it was an issue local to me, but I've convinced myself the file is corrupted. You might want to re-upload.)

I do wonder how they fit all that equipment and power generation onboard. The only way I can think of is that every inch of space dedicated to ore refining (the original purpose, as I recall) was dedicated to power generation, shield generators, weapons arrays and torpedo storage.
However I STILL call BS on it. It went from a barely armed station to a battlestation able to stand up to an entire Klingon battlegroup, even temporarily?
Just another day of Trek, nothing survives an attack unless the plot demands it.

Many comment about how "easy" the klingons lose with simple hand hits.
What they forget is one of the hits is an upward blow to the nose ridge which in a number of cases can shove a piece of bone into the brain causing death

I could have sworn photon torpedoes only worked when shields were down, yet neither the station nor the Klingon ships seemed to have any shields. I get that the station's shield generators were hit, but good grief they went down fast!!!

Knowing where this goes, you can't NOT see the fact Martok was making excuses trying to dismiss the strength of the station as if any true Klingon would back away from a worthy opponent. And Gowron says 'we shall see [It is a good day to die]" proving his blood is as pink and pasty as an Klingon Warrior.

I wonder if it would have been possible to add an FTL drive to DS9? And yes I know the arguments. The protection of Bajor, the protection of the wormhole and in a sense the Prophets. But imagine if DS9 had a limited "jump" capability? Like in the game BSG Deadlock. Station Diadalos had a limited range (80su) jump ability. Meaning it could fold away in the event of an unsustainable battle. Imagine if they could have jumped right into the Klingon Armada?

In the words of General Martok......"It would have been glorious".

Lol That space station had more firepower than at least a dozen Galaxies! But...The torpedoes are moving slower than on the Enterprise D..
They missed soo many targets!

Remember how fast the Enterprise D was firing those thingies?😅

I just love the part where Dukat and Garak are still sniping and bitching at each other while surrounded by armed Klingons trying to kill them.

Kudos to Dukat for the hand to hand combat whereas Garak takes the more "civilised" route of a disruptor from range 😁

I loved this version of Dukat. More of a frenemy who had a great arc from season 3's Civil Defence until they decided to make him an out and out deranged villain with the Pah Wraiths plotline.

Ok i have a question why the hell does Worf have to translate Klingon? don't they have the universal translator? so were the Klingons speaking English throughout the series? i just thought their klingonese was translated into English

It would have been great to see the 6 starships from Starfleet swooping in and kicking some ass before the cease fire. Seeing the Venture a Galaxy class starship unleashing its full firepower and not holding back. Wasn't there also a Nebula class as well?

Why does the bridge not have its own separate shielding system? Ability to take extra damage. Also, more importantly..if out shields fail....can't transport directly to into the command center of the ship.....also..can't aim the torpedoes or phasers? Why was the main ship not the primary target of the 1st 50 torpedoes and phasers?

soooo like do ships drop their shields when engaging in fleet battles or something? and also... pretty sure they can shrug a few hits of a torpedo with no shields before blowing up too. so what gives? every ship became a glass cannon essentially

#1 - Next time, Captain, please ready the weapons BEFORE you start talking niceties with the Klingon Emperor. It's okay; won't spoil the surprise for us.

#2 - Klingon Empire, you were beaten in hand-to-hand or close-quarter combat with phasors by the third string of the maintenance crew of a decrepit space station. Less blood wine, more prune juice. Or trade up your bat'leth lessons for opera lessons.

This was so cool to young me - it made no sense that the enterprise would just shoot like 1-2 torpedos at a time, every 30 seconds. Seeing them sprayed at will like this was satisfying.

Also that is alot of dead klingons. I wonder if they wrote songs of this loss, it's a pretty shocking loss of life, comparable to Wolf 359 I'd imagine

So when Sisko orders to open fire, I guess he should have also ordered Worf to actually AIM where the torpedoes were going. Saw plenty fired off into empty space where no ships were at all.
Wait.. how were the shield generators get hit while the shields were up? Did the Federation get their generators from Naboo?
