I can honestly say there is not many songs I like from the 80's but this is definitely one of them !!
Ответитьfav song:-D
Ответитьsuch a great song,
ОтветитьRay Parker Jr. steal from this Song ? This is the Ghostbuster Theme
ОтветитьOne of my favourite songs
ОтветитьClassic fun song.
ОтветитьWell, i'd like to listen to it all but i'm off to K-mart.
ОтветитьLove this! Cannot get it out of my head. Very catchy!
Ответить2018
ОтветитьHis glasses get pulled off, just like his hair got pulled off his head in Split Enz video
ОтветитьStill brilliant.
ОтветитьNew Zealand and Aussie bands from the 80’s where fucking stella¡!¡
ОтветитьCan someone please tell me what guitar he is using
ОтветитьEnzed, 1981. Good memories.
ОтветитьI'll never understand why this wasn't a hit in the U.S. it's so freakin good!
ОтветитьPhil Judd is an underappreciated musical genius.
ОтветитьThis album needs a re-release on CD, or at least as download! My vinyl copy is unplayable after all these years.
ОтветитьNot a bad video considering NZ bands had zero $$ for videos.
ОтветитьStill lookin into that sunrise
in 2020 💗
love
ОтветитьRIP Bones
ОтветитьR.I.P. Bones Hillman 😢
ОтветитьR.I.P. Bones Hillman.
ОтветитьRIP Bones 😢
ОтветитьRIP Bones. Legend
ОтветитьRIP Bones.
ОтветитьSo Sorry Bones RIP
ОтветитьRIP Bones Hillman...gone far too soon 😪
ОтветитьI hadn't heard this song in a long time. I came here to listen again because of the death of Bones Hillman. Does anyone know if its the same artist who did the animation in this video who also did the animation in Midnight Oil's The Dead Heart video? It looks like it to me.
ОтветитьWhat an odd journey to find this cool song. RIP Bones
ОтветитьI'm surprised there was never a remake of this song. It probably would have done very well in the Alternative Rock hey day of the early to mid 90's.
ОтветитьI still just love this song and aint what you dance. Two absolute go to gems!
ОтветитьLa da dee dee.
La da dee da.
There ain't not drink better than L&P.
(Unless there's V.)
Always wanted to ask what the budget was on that video?
ОтветитьWhat a ton of fun that was! That video actually seemed ahead of it's time. Very well crafted and put together. It's a crying shame I grew up with MTV in the 80s and never saw this. The whole thing is pretty f***ing brilliant. Great classic music video and pop song. I put this up against anything else then, or today.
ОтветитьSo much fun. What a great beat and fun song. This video was very different for a NZ band at the time, fun, good timing and light-hearted. The guitar swinging is iconic.
(Tunnels at North Head, Devonport which haven't changed, lol.)
I love at 30 seconds you can see the string attached to his glasses to pull them from his eyes. K-Mart need to take on this song again to promote their selves. Was a genius idea! and well remembered to this day
ОтветитьAhhhhh.......1981. Lots of friends, weekends away no commitments. Before the weight of the world crushed my spirit.
ОтветитьAbsolute iconic song. One of the best ever.
ОтветитьI always LOVED this song and video so much when I was a 14 year old kid. Phil Judd's unusual nervous energy and wacky spirit was/is incredibly appealing, he's like a less neurotic and more likeable David Byrne. Charisma like his is so rare.
Ответитьlove the running joke of shit randomly flying off his head on the first verse
ОтветитьI've seen these guys ,fucking brilliant
ОтветитьA few yrs between us Brother but we went to the same school... Hastings Boys High School, God Mr Crist was still in power LoL Now Covid is sorted get a few of the oldies together Talk to Noel C etc and see if he is keen , time for a re visiting of the old and a NZ tour , The Swingers and Snell F concert play that amp .. Good enough for Midnight Oil in 2022 , good enough to dig out some old Kiwi classics and have some fun and POGO DANCING jerking around like a mad mad and "Counting the Beat " pull finger buddy time is running wild.
ОтветитьThat's still my haircut and in my mind the best kiwi song of the 80's.
