I searched for how to get a web server and downloaded Apache but I can't open it because Windows blocked it.

Where do i need to place the .htaccess file? for now i have placed in where the 404 page not found html file path. But its not working

Server Error

404 - File or directory not found.

Do you have a solution for this?

if you have a subdomain please use this in ur .htaccess and place the htaccess in the sub domain folder

Too simple, thank you. I have been trying to bring my site up to current SEO Standards and the 404 page is one of the factors and I had code that worked as far as functionality but the SEO audits didn't recognize it, therefore telling me I needed a 404 page. Thanks alot!
