Alot of lack of patience has cause me thickness and length but I've learned a new method and I'm sticking with it. I will get past bra strap, I can do this. Type 4 hair is so beautiful and is also the type which requires the most time to do.... it's ok cause it's our crown with jewels.

Long hair isn't a common thing for black women and there's nothing wrong with that. Other nationalities and races of women grow their hair long naturally, let them have it and be happy with shorter hair. Black women's beauty is unmatched and special to them only. Long hair is ok on a black woman but don't even you need it.

That actually isn't long hair though, it's medium length. It is technically long if you ironed it but it is the curl pattern that keeps it looking short. It is easier for someone with straight hair to have a long haired look because their hair doesn't coil in on itself.

Wow, how many years now?

I went natural about 10 years ago. Not my hair grows like whack a weed😊. I keep it cut to mid back length( straight) and just below shoulders ( curly). If I want to wear It long , I just have my stylist blow it out.
