HARIDWAR :-
Haridwar is one of the seven sacred cities of the Hindus and is a major pilgrimage centre. It has been known by many names; originally it was called Kapila, for the sage who once lived there. Its present name means “Door to Hari”; Hari is one of the names of Vishnu, a principal deity of Hinduism.

RISHIKESH :-
It is believed that when Raibhya Rishi undertook rigorous penance, God appeared in the form of “Hrishikesh“ and henceforth this area came to be known as Rishikesh. It is the starting point for the Hindu Char Dham pilgrimage, including Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, to seek spiritual salvation.

DEVPRAYAG :-
According to Hindu scriptures, Devprayag is the sacred place of merging of two visible heavenly rivers, Alakananda and Bhagirathi, to form the holy Ganga. It is believed that a third river, the mythical Saraswati river, is underground and meets these two rivers at the confluence.

RUDRAPRAYAG :-
Rudraprayag district was established on 16th September 1997. It lies at the confluence of two rivers Alkananda and Mandakini. Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayags or five confluences of Alaknanda River. Rudraprayag is blessed with nature's bounty, the climate of which depends upon the height of the region.
