What do you think about the new F11a BIOS for the Aorus Master? Does it come with any improvements or problems?
Ответитьsaw you get shouted out on gamers nexus
this is criminally underrated
Aris, i love your testing video but pls enable english subtitle. Sometimes i dont understand what you saying. Thank you
ОтветитьCongratulations Aris, you made quite the impression with those measurements. Both Steve from gamers Nexus and Linus tech tips Techlinked mentioned you.
ОтветитьGreat, thank you !!!
ОтветитьIs he Greek? He's got the same accent as my mother.
ОтветитьGreat stuff mates, subbed.
Still it's a shame how new AMD launches are always an incredible mess, remember the WHEA problems on AM4?
Gigabyte removed F10d from the Aorus Master website. Only an older version is available. Any idea what happened?
ОтветитьGreat Channel... Great Content... You truly deserve more subs and views. Please don't quit. I Wish you much success.
ОтветитьDid you check the voltage for F10d without EXPO?
ОтветитьHey Aris, the test i would REALLY like to see is how different manufacturers are handling socket OCP (and for that matter on the PCIe bus and elsewhere).
Thats the bit that REALLY p-ed me off with the Asus stuff, they charged for power monitoring hardware but didnt enable it, to the degree it could start a fire.
I dont doubt that other companies are doing the same BS but its outright dangerous and i'd love to see the culprits outed.
Subbed!!
ОтветитьI bought some Gigabyte boards ten years ago which have been excellent and many Asus ones more recently. I have no idea if there is a company I can fully trust any more if I need to buy a motherboard for somebody. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьAwesome work as always - thank you for your continued contributions to the ecosystem!
ОтветитьI have a gigabyte aorus x570 and if I enable XMP, my computer will not boot properly. I've been running it with XMP for 3 years with no problems until, I installed a new bios, I rolled it back hoping that it would fix it.
ОтветитьIf you lock the voltage vsoc vdim manually, it remains or will also be above?
Ответитьthank you for your work! great information
ОтветитьWhat are the hwinfo readings in comparison to what your measurement device shows? Does hwinfo also shows readings above 1.3 v ?
Ответитьinterested in what hardware info shows when actual is as high as that I have that same board using 7900x and original BIOS with EXPO hardware info showed below 1.3v new BIOS showed no change in VSOC wondering if the RAM module itself has anything to do with it could it be possible dependent on what the mainboard is seeing in the dimm EXPO settings perhaps even the IC's? I'll probe my board and maybe get a different kit of RAM to see did fancy I slightly better kit to tighten up timings.
ОтветитьI’ve tried to tell people that ASUS alone is not to blame. Nobody wants to listen unfortunately. Hopefully this will help.
ОтветитьI am on newest BIOS and my VDDIO / MC is 1.392V
ОтветитьI'm so glad you are doing this testing. The way things are going, it looks like ASUS is the bagman for a much wider problem.
ОтветитьLet's just hope they fix this mess really fast. AMD at the very least should update it's testing methodology to catch these problems before they arise in the future.
ОтветитьU speak with proofs, u speak the truth!
ОтветитьIs it possible that it is impossible to get expo + low vsoc and thus place the CPU to a lower lvl at benchmarks? Why is it taking so long to get the new bios and are still in beta?
ОтветитьI’m not surprised.
I’m pretty sure most board partners do this. Memory speeds and how they’re sold have gone unsupervised for too long (useless qvl lists esp if you get the board not at launch etc)
As for vcore. Being high that’s normal right? AMD spent a lot of time telling people it was normal for it to be high at idle since ryzen 3000 days
no one is surprised from Gigglebyte but aSus use to be a better company
ОтветитьI had blackscreen/ reboots on older bios with gigabyte x670 aorus elite with expo on a 7950x. Only way to fix crashing was disabling C-States.
I dont even want to know how many months i had too high vsoc degrading my chip
I have read your article already and am watching the video now. Great work. Could you please also test if there are unreasonable voltage spikes in the bootproces ? I believe this is also an issue with the available bioses / agesas.
BTW the voltage issue is not restrained to X3D cpu's. The non-3D cpu's like my 7700X also has too high vsoc voltage.
Im starting to wonder where they reference the VSOC from, 0.04v ground float doesnt seem impossible.
ОтветитьGlad I went with Intel
ОтветитьGlad i bought a 7900X a couple of weeks ago and no the 3D version.
