It is wonderful to experience this concert today performing the standards and Supreme jewels. I will be seeing Diana May 5th at the new state of the art Hard Rock Live Nothern Indiana (s.e. of Chicago) in Michael Jacksons home town of Gary, Indiana.

My late mother was a Supremes fan so much she had to have the style of wig all three ladies wore in this concert .I remember when she went to the George McGovern fundraiser at The Forum in Inglewood CA in April of 1972, she had on a ping chiffon skirt and blazer to match with fur trim around the color and pearl tear drop earings and pink heels .Wow she looked amazing that day .And wearing the Diana Ross wig too. I was ten years old at the time.

I was there as a 14 year old boy, with my brother and aunt. unforgettable. by the way the concert was on Januari 16 and on television at March 4.

All I can say is WOW! Thanks for posting this. I never saw a full concert of the Supremes. No wonder they were so loved. Berry’s real meal ticket. They really sounded fabulous and seemed happy together. Sang a lot of standards too - and very well. I’m so happy I saw this. I now see that a lot of the Ross bashing was jealousy outside the group. Ross had such magnetism. Hard to contain that in a group.

You notice Diana only introduces the group simply as "we're The Supremes." One group, even if she was pushed to the front by management.

My Favorite thing about the DMC era of The Supremes is that Diana and Mary stepped it up vocally and performance wise. Mary often sounded like she was singing solo, unless they were doing high notes. Cindy’s voice being so soft changed the sound of the group.

Had the "Motown machine" become less intense by the time Cindy came along? She never quite seemed to have that polished precision that the Supremes and Temptations came to be known for. That's not meant as a criticism, just an observation. She brought fresh energy to the group.

I saw this show @ the Anaheim Convention Center, 1968. I was 8 yrs old.

I loved the supremes, diana had a good voice for cabaret songs and pop tunes,but she had a really bad posture in those days,did she have medical problems with her spine,Mary was such a beautiful girl

Great show. These ladies were the real thing. I only wish the cameras gave us more of Mary and Cindy but it is clear that it was all about Diana at this point. No problem for me except that after a while Diana´s making faces gets tiresome.

Awful. Harmonies were never the same once Ross and Gordy threw Flo out of the group. Cindy was talentless.

She'll always be in a class by herself!
