Who remembers when Amazon remotely wiped copies of "1984" they had already sold to Kindle users? Yup, that was the book that Jeff Bezos stole back, allegedly due to copyright problems. That was the first I knew of their ability to remotely change other people's memories. Apple does "cool" stuff like that too.

In 1998, I bought an original 1984 Macintosh 128k for only $10 at a yard sale, complete with its original keyboard, mouse and a boot floppy disk for mac system 1. I recently got an offer for over $1,000 for my vintage mac.
