These kind of explosives were used in roadside bombs in Iraq in the early 2000s. They were called EFPs. Nothing can protect you from a molten hot copper jet moving at 3000 fps.

The Japanese subtitles are SHOCKINGLY bad. There are completely misunderstood words everywhere, and awkwardly literal translations of colloquial phrases.

"Tell you what" as a precursor to making an observation was not translated as any of the dozen different ways of leading into a statement in Japanese that I can think of, but was instead translated as 「あなたに教えてください」 or "Please instruct me, my good fellow."

"There's not one piece, man," from Dan—when referring to the amount of the toilet left over—was translated as 「１人ではない、男。」Which translates as "There is not one human, male."

Det-Cord was not translated as 導爆線, which is the Japanese term and means "guided-explosion wire," it was translated as デコードコード, which is just katakana spelling of two English words, "decode" and "chord" like on the Piano and which, combined, mean absolutely nothing what-so-ever, in any semantic context.

Huge chunks of this seem like they were machine-translated but not only did the person cleaning them up not know enough English to tell what was wrong, they didn't even seem to be paying enough attention to realize that things didn't make sense in Japanese, either. This not only fails to capture the good-naturedness and humour of these two guys, it fails to accurately communicate what they're saying at all.
