So what’s a bike that actually pedals (especially climbs in tech well) but is a little more plush in the steep gnar than the Rallon? I’ve been looking at the Firebird but it looks like it might be even more of a rocket. Any help would be appreciated.

Some people say it's like Ibis Ripmo v2 with better descending capabilities. Is it correct? I love Ibis ripmo v2 for being fun on mellow trails, great cornering and nice descendor, but on chatter it feels also a bit harsh. Would this bike improve descending and keep sporty , nimble feeling on easy trails as ripmo v2?

I have this bike and initially I thought it was too harsh and unforgiving on rocky chatter. I added volumne spacers front and rear and reduced air pressure. Huge difference - more supple off the top and better support. Now I just need to quieten the chain slap...

Orebea is one of those brands that just do nothing for me.

This is infinitely more informative than PB's field test. Anymore I think I only watch their field test for the impossible climb and huck to flat vids haha

I like the way you do group tests better than the way I don't.

Definitely sounds like a coil bike to me.

Would be interesting to see how it performs with coil shock. You can spec it with a coil for zero cost.

Well, I can see the mountain behind you but not the bike you’re talking about. Odd choice of framing there

Was there a hair gell budget for this video?

Love the review and bike!

It looks like a stumpjumper… Is it feel similar?

I just listened to an interview with Jesse Malemed and was surprised to hear he runs his bikes pretty soft. Stiff and firm bikes feel fast, but did you do any timed testing to see if this bike was faster downhill or is your statement that it’s racer fast based on feel alone?

Great job - I own this bike and your review is absolutely spot on in ways other reviews miss. Stiff, fast, light, poppy, great climber, just not very comfortable through chatter plus a really low BB

The specialized enduro still seems to be thee standard.

No Santa Cruz Megatower? Pivot Firebird 29? Transition Spire?
