One interesting caveats about this movie is how there are a number of German actors in Valkyrie that were also in Downfall

I venture an interchange like this took place between the Colonel and the Generals and Field Marshal. The long time plotters were still looking for a way to overthrow the government without overt actions. The Allies would still have required unconditional surrender. But, perhaps, many in the military on all sides would not have died in the last 9 months of the war with Hitler dead.

The use of English actors and their accents is grating to me. Distinctly Un German.........some like the actor that played Hitler at least try.

And Stauffenberg will fail the operation. Solely Stauffenberg and only he is responsible for failure of the 'Valkiria' operation. It is his blame that bomb could not kill Hitler. It was his part of the operation.

If they had the backing of at least One ally (Russia, US or UK) they would have succeeded.

I kind of like these kind of scenes where the conspirators are in the middle of planning or discussing ways to take down the government or big organization.

It would've worked if they cut off the head of the snake himself, or in other words killed Hitler at Wolf's Lair, all of his sympathizers would probably go down with him, either peacefully or not.
