Kinetics of precipitate strengthening and aging

Although I find the physical metallurgy is fascinating, it's really challenging for me. But with this short explanations it's clearer now, thanks (btw episode about chocolate on your podcast was so cool).

Which kind of bond do we have in precipitates?

How do you know a material with certain composition is able to do precipitation hardening? Or is it applicable to every composition in the phase diagram as long as it has solid + theta phase?
