I wish you guys would acknowledge that Pelosi is on film taking responsibility for the lack of security on Jan 6 and that DC Mayor Bowser rejected the offer of 20,000 National Guard. Of anyone the Ayn Rand Institute ought to be extremely dubious about the narrative pushed by the deep state.

Excellent video as usual! One thing I would disagree with is that “Trump should have been impeached” because impeachment is strictly for sitting Presidents, and impeachment was launched after Trump was no longer President.

The claim that Trump would have demanded violent action if he had lost is false. He did not do so in 2021, and the Jan 6 action was hardly a serious attack on the government.

Your analyses are very similar to what communists told about socialists. You speak like extremists. You reject everyone that does not exactly follow your theory. You are ready to destroy your friends and bring the post-modern fascists to power. I'm sure Ayn Rand would not approve of most of your comments.

Glad to see the discussion of political violence around the 40 minute mark. The fact that a large part of the American people are OK voting for someone like Trump, who implicitly threatens political violence constantly, and actually tried to illegally stay in power, is the most depressing part of this election.

in 2020 the Dem party was able to send out a lot more mail-in ballots. This time those low propensity voters either did not get the ballots or were too fat and lazy to drop them in mailboxes. Trump is pro-abortion! You leave that out, he made it very clear. This canceled out most of the Dems screaming about the issue.

I don’t get what the speaker said about Covid? What are you saying? That we should. It have shut down when the hospitals and doctors were so overwhelmed? What are you saying? And Covid shut down was under Trump anyway. I also don’t think that the election campaigns should have focused on what we would do again. We have learned many lessons across the board. But most importantly, Americans don’t generally care about the issues. Some pay be polled and say that they wanted them to speak more about a topic but the vast majority don’t care. Most Americans are bored and want drama. They got bored with Biden and wanted excitement. That is what we are dealing with. Neither party has ver had much to offer. They are both bad. The question is, how do we move forward. I think that we should do everything Trump endorses. Everything. Let’s burn this down and the. See what Americans vote for. Let’s do everything he says. With a full R majority across the board we can do that now. Let’s destroy dept of education and not be part of the climate issue. Let’s prohibit abortions so women don’t have a say about their own bodies. Let’s allow young girls at parties for old men like trunk and Epstein to sexually abuse. Bring it on. Let’s see how that all works. Go for it. And the idea that Kamala can’t run the country. That is ridiculous in the context of Trump who can’t run the country either - I don’t care how refreshing he may seem to the majority because they are bored with their lives. You didn’t offer much of substance here. We have an epidemic in this country of boredom and ignorance and lack of agency. We have people who feel so entitled and they are desperate for someone to worship. Put politics have become religion. And everything is upside down.

no offense but have you guys even read Ayn Rand? You seem kind of confused about Objectivism vs generic Libertarianism. Donald Trump should be unfavorable to you because he doesn't stand for reason. Cult of personalities are always mystical in nature, which Rand was vehemently against. Harris and the Democrats should be unfavorable too because they stand up for those false altrusitic social causes, but at the same time they are quite agressive against governments they perceive as "anti-democratic" (communistic), which serves capitalism and they care about the science. Meanwhile Donald Trump has so much church and jingoistic money behind them, he's hardly a good representative of capitalism. He made his fortune with the mob, you know, what is capitalistic about that?

Like really, there was no good candidate for you guys this time around, though I feel many Americans share that predicament including myself.

EDIT: Ayn Rand's essay "The Roots of War" I think give the greatest insight on who she may have voted for. She is in favor of intervention but against wars of statism, which again comes down to reason vs mysticism. tbh I think she would've supported Israel. She was supportive of them way back in the 80s on Donahue. Who knows what she would think today.

All they needed was to have Kamala on the panel and you would have watched the biggest word salad for an hour and 13 minutes. These 3 are ment to be the flag bearers of AR’s Objectivity, & this was 95% subjectivity. Collectivism at its finest. Pro tip - stick to what you’re good at, and that is, discussing AR and her philosophy.

I predicted a while ago that we would get another Jan 6 regardless of who wins or loses. The right would not accept a trump loss and the left would not accept a trump win. Both sides are perfectly comfortable with political violence at the far ends of the spectrum. look at the proud boys vs blm, antifa, and the pro hamas crowd.
So far my prediction hasn't come true with the Democrats (to my knowledge), and I hope it doesn't. that's not something we need right now. We'll have to wait and see.

Based on what, Jan 06 when the "insurrectionists" picked up their signs and anti-aircraft guns and left the Capitol for dinner and Happy Hour? AYFSM? Anyway, I stopped listening at this point - ain't nobody got time for hysterics.

This seems to be largely left-leaning rhetoric. I'm an independent voter and vote candidate, not party. Biden's mismanagement of Covid resulted in the Left just printing currency, despite a $1.7-trillion Federal deficit. Harris' "chicken in every pot" mentality was appalling since the country is broke ($37-trillion total national deficit): where did she plan to get the money?? How did she intend to "lower prices at the grocery store" - ridiculous. Left-wing liberality has run amok exposing small children to things they are not psychologically ready to understand. Abortion should not have been the focus of this election and it was used as a distraction from real issues such as the economy. Since we were ALL asleep at the wheel, abortion has been handed back to the state level for jurisdiction costing women Constitutional ownership of their bodies. We are all confronted with a bitter pill in the face of gross fiscal irresponsibility. Fasten your seat belts: it was going to be a bumpy ride no matter who won.

I am not sure I can agree with some of this analysis but I fully agree with Onkar's conclusion about the results of this election, They were both horrendous candidates. Great point on Huckabee emboldening the worse of Israeli policy. Very astute, I had not thought of that.
! believe America deserves better than this. Education is key and if the Trump administration abolishes the education department perhaps amongst other things the states can push to reintroduce a proper American history and civics course focused on political and civics philosophy. Jonathon Hoenig's book on Americanism should accompany any history textbook or they should be the first chapters in any history textbook. In the mean time we should work towards building an uncompromising third political party like the Capitalist Party created by MP. Perhaps to these new students of history these objectivist ideas will not seem so alien.
