If when you died in a video game you died in real life, and if you were forced to play, I would probably play better. No skin in the game other than the cost of the game and hardware makes me say oh well when i die and go do something else.

I'm not a pro, but I consider I have pretty good aim. For me, the most important thing you can do is to get a good mouse with a good sensor (no prediction or acceleration) and then, just find what we like to call "your own sensitivity" and start building muscle memory by playing the game. That's more than enough to eventually get a lot better, and you shouldn't stop until you feel you're not improving anymore. Then, and only then, you should stop working in those things you are doing wrong. You will learn a lot more about the game by just playing, and, if you came here asking why are pros so good, first, look at how many hours people like ScreaM have on CS.

It’s true that hard work and focused practice will help you reach the highest level possible, but it is completely untrue to say that genetically having faster reaction times or better ability to process information isn’t real. Don’t get me wrong, you can achieve a lot through dedication and hard work, but to say that we all start on a level playing field and that we all have the same ceiling isn’t really accurate.

Sleeping also help, during sleep you aren't only sleeping, and healing/ replenishing.

During sleep your mind is processing the thoughts and new skills you learned. Your understanding, ability, and your motivation will be there to be a step ahead than your past self.

Someone is going to read this and benefit while others will continue to scroll the comments. I tell you no lie meditation helps a lot with Improving energy and focus. I'm starting to see how it's really helping me get better at PUBG and C.O.D Mobile. You don't need a drink although it will also help...your brain has the tools it needs already. Just sit still close your eyes breathe slow and focus on nothing.

I think realizing that bad matches do more for you than good matches is going to help to not rage. When I get an easy lobby now I am much less excited to smoke them because I know that I am lying to myself if I think that I am somehow a better player now.
When I get outplayed and go negative I at least have a struggle and use my brain to actively figure out what I am doing wrong. Those matches matter much more. My favourite matches are the ones where I barely get neutral KD. Sweaty lobbies, I feel that they improve my game sense a lot.

The idea that you can become top of the line with hard work alone is some cope mechanism for sure. It has no basis in reality at all.

Visuallisation helps to impair speed and reflexes as that is a way of speeding up the impulses without practicing so if you practice and visualize it will happen faster and more effectively
