loved these recipes, but we have never made mac /cheese for thanksgiving , and ive never used egg as a binder in it ...but i live in the northern states...but when it comes to my favorite,, it would have to be the sweet potaoto pie casserole!! thats a huge hit with us !!! ty for great video Valerie!!!

I use the sugar-free brown sugar substitute in my green beans, which I make in a similar way to yours in this video. It works beautifully, and I recommend it. I use about ¾ of the amount of brown sugar in the recipe. 💜☮️💜

My favorite dish that I have to have for every holiday is candied sweet potatoes. And your Mac and cheese dish looks so good. I will be making this.

My sister always made a copycat Boston market Sweet potato casserole until she passed 2 years ago. It was both our favorite.

I truly love Mac & cheese, and your Daddy makes it almost exactly like my Mom used to. However, she didn’t use quite that much cheese, and instead of evaporated milk she used whole milk. But the egg really helps the dish to set up. My mother in law was always a huge fan of my Mac and cheese—-she had never seen it made like that. I am not a fan of the recipes that call for making a cheesy Bechamel sauce for the macaroni!
Your green bean casserole looks so delicious! I’m thinking I will bring that to my older daughter’s on Thanksgiving Day. We get to have 2 Thanksgivings this year. Younger daughter is a nurse and has to work on that day, so she and her family along with her husband’s brother and his family will do Thanksgiving the next day. We will definitely be fat and sassy after those 2 holiday meals!😂😂😂

I make a cracker stuffing. Im Hungarian and we call it hunky stuffing it calls for every 1lb box of saltines gets an 🥚 egg. Then you'll need celery, carrots shredded & onions diced or shredded. And butter and milk. Mix All ingredients till it looks almost like thick paper mache' put in a crockpot or in a baking pan glass . Cook till golden brown an a toothpick comes out clean. The pineapple casserole is a traditional dish here for Christmas with our glazed ham. I always have to double the recipe and it's still hardly enough for all of us

A good apple sausage stuffing is one of my favorites, tied with my grandma's cranberry/jello salad. 😊

My favorite Thanksgiving side dish is green bean casserole! We never have macaroni and cheese for Thanksgiving. I know many people do! We also call our dressing "stuffing" even though we don't stuff it inside the turkey. But my mom used to put it inside the bird, and it was so soft and yummy! Your green bean casserole looked so good!

Yes, finally someone else’s grandmother that added boiled eggs. Thats what I do too cause my Mamaw did that. ❤

I love corn bread dressing. I grew up eating bread stuffing till I married a southern, oh my goodness, I was introduced to cornbread dressing and many delicious dishes. Love it all! Mom in law was a great cook. She taught me to cook southern food. Thanks, Mom !! She would add boiled eggs to her gravy, her Grandmother's recipe. Thanks Valerie for the great recipes.
