If I found out my kid was doing this , I would be devastated. There would be neverending guilt trips and I strongly believe each one would be excruciatingly painful . There would be a neverending stream of where did we go wrong. I would be like the Japanese dad be fearful of her future socially and economically and that would only be the start of it. However fathers being fathers , I would not ostracize her, she would always be welcomed home to a warm bed and warm meals for as long as she wished .
